I know there are some people on to first, second, third, even fourth prestige, but is anyone else having trouble getting used to the game? I jumped straight into multiplayer the first day thinking "Its COD, I know I'll do well" but I was badly mistaken. I got into about 7 or 8 different lobbies before i got into a match. I just chalked this up to the servers getting used to the new user load, but after I got in a match, I was horrible. I have only played one game so far where I have gone positive in terms of k/d. I took a break for a few days and figured I'd let the servers work themselves out and see if the amount of lag spikes go down. I got on to play yesterday and still no change. Laggy as ever. I honestly thought it was just me being bad after a long weekend (my high school went to semi-state and it was a 3 hour ride down there and back. I also went to the Notre Dame game this weekend), so i decided to play some Battlefield to see if I just had lost my edge after a long weekend. The first few games I played I had over a 3 k/d ratio and only one below a 2. (1.6 k/d) Unless they manage to fix the lag that black ops 2 is plagued with, I won't be seeing much multiplayer. I don't play ranked matches anymore trying to save my k/d. So after this long rant/complaining/bitching I do have a question.
Has anyone else not been able to do well since the game came out, or is it just me? If you haven't been doing well, what is your reason? If you have been doing well, have you noticed any problems and found a way around em, or have any tips for someone who usually avgs a 1.68 k/d getting a .68 consecutively?

my k/d is 1.47 man i dnt brag about it and i didnt try for it.....and yes im on ps3 also....im telling you now go in ur options and install textures it smoothed the game out alot

I'm not on my game at all most games. I used to be able to hold around a 1.50 K/D which was good enough for me. On Black Ops 2 right now my K/D is 1.17. I just can't do as good as I used to. A lot of the time I find myself shooting at someone first, but somehow they kill me in the end. The other day I had a Scorpion EVO I think, and I saw this guy spawn way in the back of the map so I started doing slow burst fires at him. I was hitting him, but then all of the sudden the guy sees me and I die instantly. What gun was he using? A Vector K1D. /facepalm

I started off this game really horrible. I'm not a MLG Pro by any means, but I wasn't performing like I was in previous CoDs. In Black Ops, I had a 1.95 and in MW3 I was around a 1.8 or so. But I started off BOII at like 1.2 or 1.3 (I'm only using K/D cause to show my point. I'm not a K/D freak at all). And it was worse then it looked. I was losing gunfights constantly to people who ended the game 3-24. Even when I shot first, I would just either totally miss most of my shots or get turned on and killed. It was really pissing me off.
These last few weeks, I've been getting a little better. I've been having better games and am winning a lot more gunfights and such. My KD has risen to like 1.46. Kind of just hovering around there now.

But anyways, ya I have not 'been on my game' on Black Ops II.

You guys aren't doing as good because gayarc has implemented "skill based matchmaking" and its a joke. I'm pretty good at COD, my bo2 kd is 1.95, which isn't good at all. I made a new account, lvl1 prestige 0. And my KD is currently a 5.3, its just all the tryhards you'll be facing that makes the game not fun. Go get your k/d and spm down by killing your self and stuff like that and then try to play. Easy mode allll dayyyyy.

I'm really not tonight, every game I die off my spawn. Tomorrow should be better, all the teens go back to school. Then hopefully the game will be enjoyable again. I have never had such horrible luck with any other Call Of Duty in history.

I hate excuse making and I feel that is COD community's biggest issue so it pains me to say this but until lag is address on PS3, this game is just okay.

I am doing better my first month in BO2 than my first month in MW3 so it's not an issue of playing worse. Still plenty of noobs. Problem is being 0.33 seconds behind the enemy. It's the thing that makes scrubs seem to have aimbot level accuracy lt's the reason you get shot around corners and why it takes you way more bullets to kill yet die quick. Until these things ate addressed this game will have ideas better than MW3 but isn't as fun.




This seems sort of lame to be honest. I don't think having to face quality opponents is the big issue. Lag is what hurts it the most. If you're sick of facing people that are "tryhards" like yourself join a party of a noob and it'll reduce the competition you hate facing.

I use the MP7 with Laser and Dual Mag

First tip I have for the lag spikes it to change your search preferences to "Best".
Next tip I have is to install the textures, if you are getting into tryhard lobbies as well make someone who has a bad K/DR host.
It will find games based on skill so if your friend sucks it will find people who suck as well, most of the time though.

Thank you...the lag really is ridiculous. Some games your shots are on point and some they aren't, that's what us PS3 players gotta put up with I guess.

This game is unplayable at times. Seems like I lose every gun fight. The spray and pray is the worst I ever seen. You can run out in the open just spraying all over the damn play and get a kill. Yet I can be aiming down my sight and get a million hitmarkers just to die by 3 or 4 bullets.

All the maps are cluster fucks.
