Kills = killstreaks which equal more points and faster ranking up.
Success in call of duty is defined by stats due to how many are given to you.

I ment caring about pure stats not points.So why is it someone goes crazy for a high K/D ratio or a w/l ratio which does nothing to the point they will quit a game and waste 5minutes to resart they system when they can exit and spend 30 seconds.

Call of duty is a random game designed with a low skill ceiling the result anybody can get a good score. Can they do it all the time now due to how much is put in the way of a good player no.
Why do people go crazy for a high K.D game ? Part of the reason is more points flashing up, you want to keep playing and do it again.

People are given the expectation they are good player gets mad if they can't reproduce the same result.

Killstreaks also give the expectation that in order to be good you need to have a good k.d or w.l. Stats in a random game are pointless due to a number of factors.

I think you're over analyzing why people quit. People rage quit now. Fortunately I rarely deal with enemies getting more than a Hunter Killer but put yourself in a noobs' shoes lol.
BO2 benefits good players. So once you get a VST, Lodestar or especially Swarm what incentive do they have to stay and get destroyed? Maybe they care about stats or maybe they JUST WANT THE BLEEDING TO STOP lol.

My opinion on stats is since we don't have an official president of COD saying who is good then overall stats do matter to a degree. A guy with high kdr and spm is probably a good player although if he has win/loss under .80 he probably just quits to maintain it and only cares about kills.

If a guy has kdr under 1.2 he is an average player or maybe he just screws around. High w/l means a FFA player or playing in parties.

I set goal for 2.4 kd, 2.8 w/l and 450-500 spm. Now does that mean I'm going to sweat my ass off and camp to get that, No. For one you have to be aggressive to do well in BO2. Kdr especially should be something that shows you how you're playing NOT something you try and manipulate. So the extremes of "I got to dashboard to maintain my stats" and "stats don't mean anything because despite my most used streaks being Hunter Killer, I am a beast" are equally ridiculous. You are what you are. Most COD players are always good and everyone that does well is a camper or no life in their mind. So stats help cut through the bs. You can generally tell when stats are fake or manipulated anyway especially if you just go to theater mode.

Have fun with the game and if they cared so much about stats they probably should get a new hobby... You seem to be salty that people don't stay and let you rape them....

I just like to maintain my KD because its an indication of if I played well that night or badly. I know if I finish on 1.48 or more I did well, if as it is after a bad weekend its 1.27 I know I am not doing it right.

My win loss is 0.5!! I do rage quit but not every day, its just in my clan I see myself as the aggressor so I am trying to keep the other team back. Problem is my clan like to camp =[ so I'll be in my loadstar or something assuming they have kept the hardpoint and they havent =[.

The other one of the clan runs in the hardpoint gets a kill then runs to the next hardpoint and waits for the points to get high streaks. So sometimes I will go 50 kills and like 15 deaths thinking were bound to win this, but no, we dont.

I have a kd above 3 in every call of duty, to me keeping. High kd an win loss ratio is fun and challenging
Keeps me playing the game, some people it does t concern but others like to be that bit more competitive I suppose . Pub stomping doesn't define a good player if they have a good kd , a great player might play MLG OR CYBERGAMER and have a 1.2 kd and be potentially the bet in the country so yeah, stats are for show and a challenge I think. But good stats don't make a good player

i dont really care about kd but will rage quit if i am doing better then whole team QSing and we are gettin spawn trapped
