Call of Duty: Black Ops developer Treyarch has severely dampened chances of World at War's extremely popular Zombies mode appearing in the new game, telling CVG "this is it" as far as major feature reveals go.

Speaking to CVG at the Black Ops multiplayer reveal event in LA this morning, Treyarch community man Josh Olin said the developer only has "little things" left to reveal on the multiplayer side. We can't talk for it, but we wouldn't class Zombies as a "little" feature.

"This is pretty much it," Olin told CVG. "There are still some other little things that we haven't talked about yet but will at a later date, but this is pretty much the whole caboodle."

Asked if that means Treyarch's shown all major features for Black Ops, Olin replied: "Yes, this is what we've been working on for the past two years,"

Last month a retailer listed Black Ops zombie maps as freebies included with the game's special edition. Bar miscommunication though, it looks like we could be disappointed.

Zombies is co-op not multiplayer though... There may still be hope!

That would be really sad, if there would'nt be zombies.

Guys of course there's gonna be zombies. It was one of the most popular things about W@W so of course they would not bring back the 4 old maps and not add new ones as well.

Everything in MULTIPLAYER has been revealed. Like Josh said on his Twitter...

"@F1RZT2BOMB No, 9/1 is strictly a Competitive Multiplayer reveal event. Co-op will be revealed later this year =)."

i still hope there is a zombie mode, cant believe that they dont added it cuz i guess most mappapcks of w@w were only sold cuz zombie maps, not online maps

Tbh, I don't really care about zombies anymore. After what they showed last night with the wager matches, I think I'll only be playing a few game modes such as, One in the chamber, the gun game, hardcore search and destroy, demolition.

Rest I don't care about anymore, but yeah I hope they still put zombies in.

dude buy the hardened or prestige edition. zombies are for sure. all 4 maps from w@w with new engine and guns /facepalm

That was a Multiplayer Reveal. They specifically stated 3 Modes: Campaign, Multiplayer, and Co-Op. Zombies is a Co-Op mode. Yesterday they were only focusing on multiplayer so they wouldn't have revealed any zombies or the Co-Op mode. Theres still a very high chance Black Ops will have zombies.
