In Flames Much?
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); That the thing in my head which stops me from buying black ops

Just the lack of support it will get , release within one year no more patchs even if something ruins the game.

Sorry but until i hear news on support for 2 years or so buying black ops is a no deal.
Anybody else feel the same way ?

I explain support in my view
It not just map packs but fixing balance issues on top what they do already. Just i have a concern on what they will fix.

IW are a bunch of money hungry crack heads. They got power hungry after COD4, created a shit remake of it and still made millions. Absolutely genius

I still get put into games with americans or people half way around the world.

"I dont think they can afford to forget about this game after it's release, they've seen what it's done to IW's reputation..."

I think they can.....
Look at history with problems still sold very well even MW2 sold like hotcakes.
People still loved IW even after COD4 problems and no fixes. So....i don't it done much if any damage to IW rep.

Ok, here is info that they have changed matchmaking, it seems you are wrong...

Treyarch reveals exclusively to NowGamer that local matchmaking is finally in!

Hot off the press from NowGamer’s one-on-one interview with Treyarch community manager Josh Olin at this year’s gamescom in Cologne, comes the world-shattering revelation that for the first time in the series, multiplayer matchmaking “will enable matchmaking with people in the local area.”

Those particularly attuned to Modern Warfare news may remember that Robert Bowling, creative strategist at Infinity Ward disappointed a lot of people when he tweeted back in September of last year that “There isn’t an option to search specific regions/ countries when matchmaking, but there is improved matchmaking to auto-assist.”

“An end to transatlantic lag?”

Will this see an end to transatlantic sponginess? We can only hope. We love our American friends dearly, but playing against them with transatlantic lag can be a real trial and vice-versa. This could see an end to it. To be fair the Modern Warfare franchise is perhaps the only game big enough to make sufficiently populated local communities a real possibility.

There was no major problems with cod 4, the host quitting was an issue, but nothing major. Cod 4 was a great game, so if you can give me a list of all these issues that ruined the game, that would be great.

Mw2 sold like hotcakes purely because of the hype. And i strongly disagree IW's reputation hasnt been damaged over the past year. You should read some articles.

And another point, Treyarch aren't IW, so your argument towards Black Ops support against Cod 4's and MW2's is pretty invalid.

You're correct in so many ways, Resist.
Not one COD I have played has had support all the way through.

For example, Look at MW2 its the most broken game I've ever played, The matchmaking is rubbish and theres so many broken elements of the game.
Danger Close, One man army and grenade launchers. Thats one of the most broken things in the game along with Commando. If IW really cared about MW2 then they would of patched it. They patched the Model 1887 Akimbo issue because it wasn't long after the game. See what I mean? No support all the way.

But no, IW don't give a shit two years after their game is out, Because they got what they wanted ($$$$$$$) so they don't care how broken their games are.

I personally think Black Ops will have issues (as every game does) but no issues like One Man Army, Danger Close and Commando.
It could well have issues with matchmaking but I somehow thing Treyarch may fix them.

COD4 Had major issues and IW never learned from them and MW2 continued to have those issues. Another way of seeing that IW don't care for their games.

Treyarch isn't Infinity Ward. They care about there game and community, unlike IW and MW2.

It seems like the least game to be complained about is WaW, and who made Waw??? Dum dum duuuummm.... Treyarch!

I agree, Black ops will have issues, no game is perfect. I've already shown that the matchmaking issue has been resolved in Black Ops and if you say "but I somehow think Treyarch may fix them.", you're slightly contradicting yourself by agreeing Black Ops will not have support. Again, i will say, Dedicated Servers. And Treyarch have put tools in place to prevent hacking, glitching and boosting. If that aint support, then what the hell is?

You and Resist go on about these major cod 4 issues, but in the year and a half of playing the game i thoroughly enjoyed it and didnt encounter any lasting issues that seriously affected my gameplay. So i must be missing something.

At the end of the day, i can understand your concern, but if you think Treyarch will not support this game post launch, then you iz mad!!!!

And Black Ops only has dedicated servers for PC so that kinda rules it out of this dispute.

How does it? The OP never said this dispute was console based only.

For example if people are getting laggy games you change the matchmaking system. So far no COD had this happen on consoles.
Dice have done this...why not COD ?
Maybe it due to the lack of the hot fix system which they added for black ops. Happy at that.

Believe part of the reason oh there one next year we get it right. No real support imo showed so far. But then why should they when people will buy the next one anyway.....

Josh Olin said there will be support after release they said the same thing for COD4 no ?
WAW
MW2 too.....

All which had serious issues which needed to be fixed and never was.
They said for COD4 oh we add barebones , never did.

See my point ?
From history there a serious lack of support for this game apart from map packs.

That point about the patchs is true having to go pass sony/MS maybe it will be different this time around. We see

Wow your retarted, josh olin has nothing to do with COD4 or MW2.
MW2 was not fixed as most the team was fired or quit.

WAW was supported post launch EXTREMELY well.
With 9 new maps and 3 new zombie maps.
They patched most glitches too...

Don't buy it, I'd prefer if people who I played with knew anything about the game/treyarch and don't just make up a load of bull
