This EXACT SAME THING Happened When World at War was Released.
So to those who are not blinded by Fanboyism, and/or plain Stupidity; Here is why there is so many Cry Babies:
Like I stated above, this Exact same thing happened when World at War was Released.
What Happened you ask?
Well When World at War was Released, MANY people bought the Game Expecting to perform well online immediately, just like they did in Modern Warfare.
But the thing is:
1. They didn't expect that they would have to get used to Weapons with Recoil, or Weapons that take a decent amount of skill.
2. They Didn't Expect to have to get use to maps that were well laid out and actually required skill and thinking.
3. They did expect that World at War Take would require More Skill.
So When those people expecting to dominate immediately after putting the Disk in didn't do so well, they got Mad and Stomped around and Cried. Claiming that World at War Sucked and Treyarch was a Horrible Developer. Neither of which are anywhere near Truthful Statements.
So Here we Are, Two Years Later.
Treyarch Releases Black Ops, and yet again people are starting up the game Expecting to instantly dominate.
And they Are Not instantly dominating, Again.
They claim the Maps are Horrible because they have no good camping spots. They Claim All the Maps are like one Big Maze!
^^^ HAHAHA LOLOL!!! The Maps ACTUALLY require thought about where to go and what to do!
They Claim the Guns Suck because they Have Recoil, and they can't run around hip firing with every weapon in the game!
They Complain about not being able to use Cheap Tactics like Quick Scoping and Noob Tubes.
They Complain Because Black Ops is Actually a Well Balanced Game.
They Say Black Ops Sucks!
They Say Treyarch Is the Worst Developer Ever.
What they Fail to Realize, is that Black Ops is Harder, and more competitive Online. That Black Ops weapons, Perks, and Maps take Practice and Skill. That its Nothing like the Mainstreamed-for-noobs-and-kids modern warfare 2.
What they Fail to Realize, is that Black Ops is the REAL Call of Duty.

Ok, you got me. I will say IW did not intend for quickscoping. So I would say it was an exploit and used in a cheap way. Trust me I did it to and I know it's hard to do but the kills are cheap when you get them.

Agreed, all I hear is kids who complain, My SMG is not powerful enough and I can't kill anyone in two shots! I can't quickscope and run and gun! This game sucks! Etc. Go back to Mw2, stop playing this game and making Treyarch feel like they have failed, learn to make your own games and play them if you think you could "do better". And stop complaining about bugs, look at Mw2, THAT is a game that you could be complaining about, I shouldn't be able to go to a website, download one thing, and be able to hack my account to get to 10th prestige. But enough about that, people shouldn't be complaining about the maps either, these maps actually take time to learn, and you actually have to use your brain when you play this game. Stop complaining, or just make your own game because most people think "even I could make a better game".

its not the ps3, because IW delivered a near identical port TWICE on both the PS3/PC and 360. I dont think treyarch spent enough time with the PS3/PC ports/QA testing because the problems are evident such as freezing, fps drops, menu lag etc. Treyarchs solution is recommending ps3 users to trim their friends and delete messages /facepalm To clarify i am not talking about hacks and glitches or server issues.
However the only reason that i continue to play black ops, and i suspect this might be the same reason for some others as well, is that this is the most balanced multiplayer cod i have ever played

i agree, it has nothing to do with xbox or ps3 (yes i know xbox has 512 ram vs 256 for ps3), rather treyarch's coding and how they handled the port.

This game has a lot of problems, and I think your reasons you provided for people complaining are directed only to the immature 12 year olds. This game has the possibility to be an ok game, if the lag problems are fixed, and just the glitches. I have days where I can't even play any games because either in the lobby or even halfway through the match i'm kicked out for different reasons. I am not a fan of Treyarch and the way they make their games because all of the guns are horrible, along with the recoil. There's only a couple guns that are actually usable, and the horrible guns promotes camping so they don't have to deal with it. I prefered MW2 and COD4 where if you played the smartest, you could do the best, but with this game it's just who has the better gun I think.

3/4ths the reason why people are complaining are because the game is so ****ing full of glitches and bugs. I swear to god the next time I get into a party with my clan and can't see who is talking because no mic emblem shows up or I can't hear some of my clan members who have a mic, I'm gonna call Treyarch and tell them they do the worst ****ing job at copying IW. And how is this nominated? What the hell? The only people complaining because the game is whatever the hell you were talking about are the 12 year old boys who think camping is gonna get them to 11 kills. Hell no. God damn it I hate it when people treat you like you're the majority of things or claim they know something.
