man.. I was at 0 prestige went up to 5th prestige, left my ps3 running and went to sleep like at 2am... woke up at 7:30 to go 2 work came back at 5:30pm and I was signed out of ps3 network due to the patch 1.05.. signed back in and continued doing the glitch up to prestige 10.. i guess my mistake was not leaving it overnight again cause when I turned my ps3 on and off I was back at 5th prestige... Funny thing is that it got sticky without playing any online game just by leaving it overnight. also Ive gotten reset back to prestige 5 after playing online games, the glitch still works and my xp bar increases so im goin to go up to like 9 one more time and leave it overnight again and see if it sticks that way. At some point during the day treyarch must do backups of their playlists/servers and there is where it should stick.

Hey there, I have done this with 3 accounts, two new ones and my main one that got reset to level 1 prestige 0.
My theory is that the glitch sticking only works on accounts that are level 1 no prestige, and no online games been played.
Okay first of all do the EliteMossy Patch blocker to get get reset if you're doing it on your used account, you will get reset.
Secondly do the LAN XP Glitch & max out to level 50 with no XP needed to prestige.
Thirdly back out of LAN and press Playstation Network. Press played match, you should be level 50 ready to prestige.
Fourthly go to your Playercard and hit Prestige! You should be Prestige 1 Level 1.
The next thing you do is play Team Deathmatch until you're level 12 prestige 1 and buy something you unlock whilst in each pre-game lobby and buy something from the Playercard and change your clan tag when you have the ability to.
Next step is back out when you are level 12 and sit in a party yourself until the contracts update in your timezone. ( check out one of my threads to find out when the contracts update ) Buy a contract in each category before they update.
Leave your PS3 on until they update which will save your new rank. When you see that there are new contracts for purchase, play a game, get 1 or 2 kills then back out and turn your PS3 off from your controller.
When you turn your PS3 back on and load up Black Ops and go to Player Match it will show that you are level 1 prestige 0. Don't worry, a loading screen will come up then an error message saying something about your rank ( Level 12 Prestige 1 ) press "x" then Player Match and there you go... Your new rank.
ENJOY!

i have perfected this LAN XP GLITCH. i dont take all the credit for wat was allready started but only from wat i changed to make it work!!!!!!
NOTE: BEFORE YOU START. YOU DO NOT NEED A NEW ACCOUNT BUT YOUR STATS WILL GET RESET TO WHAT YOU DID IN THE LAN MATCH HERS MY SOLUTION THE LAST LAN MATCH YOU DO GO ALL OUT AND GET ALOT OF KILLS
so i stated by Deleting and bypassing the patch on BLACK OPS.
then i tried to play online and i got a message saying"the call of duty Black Ops servers are unavailable.THIS IS A GOOD THING
DONT KNOW WHAT BYPASS IS?
just get the EliteMossy's Patch Blocker
2nd. After getting this message QUIT GAME and re-install the patch
3rd. after intalling the patch hit play online and andd you will get an ERROR or RESET message
4th. after getting this messgae Do the LAN xp glitch
5th. After that when u have reached level 50 MAXED OUT go to multy player and prestige!!!!! [PLAYING ONLINE DOSENT AFFECT ANYTHING]
6th. keep doing part >>5<< to any prestige you want
7th.AFTER your done go to a game and get lvl 20
LAST AND FINALL PART!!!!!! READ CAREFULLY!!!!!
