To give you an idea, in a *nix you can change it through command line and the ifconfig command (mac os x, unix, linux). In both windows xp and windows vista, you'll have to use registry edit. For the PS3, its most likely very possible to do it For Ps3 & Xbox

I was just looking at the ps3 and saw that obviosley you have a wired and wireless they are two seperate hardware so it have different Mac Id"s if you were banned on the wired connection change over to wireless or visa versa have your isp change you ip address to then you ban should be gone at least until you get banned again this isnt a cure just a second chance i suppose

as an IT person take it form me you cannot change ur MAC address, a mac address is a unique identifier for the nic card in your ps3 (the little hole u plug your wire into, or the wireless device you use to get online). IF sony is banning using the MAC address you CANNOT get back on unless theres a way to "spoof" another, but you cannot change it. IF their banning through the IP then thats easy all you have to do is assign another within your range of IP's available. IF their banning through SN's then you're just screwed. But IF their banning through PSN accounts then all you would have to do is creat a new account but i highly doubt this would be the case because the circumvention tool would still be identifiable on the system and this account would also be banned

They ban through system IDs...
Not the system Id that is changeable through some homebrew that was released a while ago that sony uses.
PS3 has multiple IDs.
Though I can talk the talk I can't say I know how to change the other IDs.

Yeah, you have to change the PS3's ID not the MAC address.
