My friend snipes alot. (Hes only average)
And he calls me a camper all the time, (I camp a small bit, but doesn't everyone!)
Anyway, whenever I call him a camper, he gets mad and says
"Im not camping, Im sniping"
I think thats retarted but maybe im wrong...

Anyway the question is...

Does Sniping count as Camping?

Sniping's not camping. If anyone wants to go and run around and get arse raped, feel free.

sniping is a skill ,but i think its one of the main reason people do camp .....scared of getting osk from the other side of the map from poking there little heads out.

trying to outwit a sniper is 5x harder than raping campers who are not capable of killing me without explosives

For all of the quickscopers that post in this GOML. Listen people, what i define as camping is sitting at one spot aimed at one window or something along that lines. Just because a sniper is in a building holding it down does not mean that they are neccesarily camping. Personally, I am a great quickscoper, but that does not make me better than anyone else playing COD. Sniping you have to be cautious, not just quickscope the whole time...

Sniping is camping. The only reason why people don't call it camping is because snipers have to see someone a decent range away, stand still, then shoot. With this process being the natural way to snipe people are going to sit at windows and behind cars for a while to make the enemies come to them, making the whole process easier and a lot less dangerous. When people do this same thing with assault rifles or sometimes sub-machine guns people rage and call it camping because the guns aren't "meant" for standing still and aiming at one spot. (Waiting for an enemy to cross your sights)You are supposed to run and gun with them. Camping is a tactic just like rushing and run-and-gunning. It is just looked down upon because it doesn't take as much skill as other tactics. Back to the point I was trying to make, if camping is staying in a small area for long periods of time waiting for an enemy to run past, then why is sniping different that camping. You are basically doing the same thing. Yes, sniping may take a little more skill than assault rifle camping but none the less it IS camping.

Also in this reply I am only referring to classic sniping. The kind like people do in real life. Lay prone on a building taking out targets one by one. NOT QUICK SCOPING

Dude, i had a guy in a lobby calling me a camper after a round in invasion. I asked him how i was camping.. he said every time i killed him i was in a building, thats camping. so i asked to clarify, i said, so if i run into a building, look out and see someone running down the isle way, and i shoot him, thats camping. and he replied, yes, that is camping.

so you know what i say, **** it. Theres always going to be someone out there telling you your camping, even if you arent. If they dont like it, tell them to shove it up their ass and continue to wreck them....
