(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Simple thread simple answer.
My friend snipes alot. (Hes only average)
And he calls me a camper all the time, (I camp a small bit, but doesn't everyone!)
Anyway, whenever I call him a camper, he gets mad and says
"Im not camping, Im sniping"
I think thats retarted but maybe im wrong...

Anyway the question is...

Does Sniping count as Camping?

I don't get why you call it camping. I mean it's not like you set up and tent, start a fire, eat marshmallows and play the guitar and sing, is it?

Anyway, no. Sniping is not 'camping'. You have the telescopic scope on top of the gun for a reason. You are supposed to take out enemies from a distance, not from 3 foot in front of them. You are supposed to take out the enemies before they take out your team. How are you supposed to do that if you are constantly on the move? You find a vantage point, take out as many people as you can, and if you feel like you have been compromised, then, and only then, you find a new spot to sit at. The people who complain about 'campers' are the people who continuously run into your line of fire over and over again. The people who are stupid enough to think that you will have gone by the next time you go back to the spot they died at. The game is about winning, not who can go out and give the biggest ass kicking by doing stupid 'tactics' such as 'rushing' or 'no-scoping' or 'quick-scoping' from 2 feet away.

Quickscoping = more fun than camping out with your scope trained on one spot.

Not stupid if it works Winky Winky

This has been asked many times from a lot of people, but in my opinion no it is not camping.... The sniper is for taking out foes from a distance and hiding in a bush and such ( why they have the Gillie suit)

When a sniper gets about 4 kills then yes he should move but not for the reason of him being a camper but for the reason that everyone knows where he is... People use the "he is a camper" excuse on the sniper because the sniper can get a lot of kills from a distance.... (unlike the shotgunner campers who sit in one corner and spray their AA 12's) Another reason it is not camping is that many people find the sniper (due to kill cam) and hunt him down and if the sniper is good enough he has placed a claymore (or C4) and is looking not only from a distance but around him as well to take out any unwanted visitors....

Therefor the sniper is not a camper but a cool Cool Man (aka Tustin) killing monster that we have all grown to love :love: and enjoy! Claps

Depends, but not on location. The way I see it, sniping is only skillful if you do it right, for instance: You will find youself getting madder at someone who snipes you with the M21 than the Intervention, this is because with the Intervention, you miss a shot and you've missed the chance for the kill 90% of the time because they'll take cover or try flank you, but with the M21 you're less likely to miss because you can spray. So because of this, the Intervention is deemed more skilful and thus, there is less to criticise about it.

In short: People won't care if you're camping as a sniper as long as you dont hardscope and spray with M21 Thermal
