i have used .bin to iso convertor to try and get file stucture out of it, it i get same jargon!!!

does anyone know the encryption that the patch uses??

U no how u told be the bin should be same size as the patch... extract the encrypted part to see if its the same size then u will know if it is!!!! then u can go from there...

my .bin file at the end was 72mb. prob cause i didnt diable information board (no option on 3.21) anyway, i must have messed up somewhere. so am starting again. will post my findings later dude.

try this for 3.30 firmware to find dummy.

make a dump without dummy data.........................

make a dump with dummy data......... (but as big as your usb can make. if you got a 4 gig pen make a 4 gig dummy)

theres double the chance off finding 16bytes off sting that wasnt there in the first dump
(compare both dumps in winhex or hxd, look closely, something should stick out)
once you know the 16 bytes, revert bk and use 2gb dummy.

(it wont matter cause the 16 bytes will be the same for each sector no matter how big or small the dummy is)

(remember..... the image with dummy . bin must be the same size as the mp3 dummy you originally install to ps3 hdd)
