(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Hey guys I'm gonna make a series of miniguides which highlight and explain the strategies and basics of the secondaries.

The layout will be as follows..
Introduction
Attachments
Perks
Classes

Okay now on to the actual guide.

RANGER

Introduction
The Ranger is a powerful shotgun, if used correctly. Many people consider it cheap, but if it works then use it. Anything is cheap if it kills the opponent on this game..

NOTE: You cannot ADS with this gun, your ADS button becomes your left barrel, although you can shoot either and it will do the same damage and have the same range.

Attachments
The Ranger has two attachments, FMJ and Akimbo. Once you get the ten kills, you need to equip akimbo. The Ranger is always hipfire, and when you use akimbo you ad the second shotgun with no sacrifices. FMJ just adds the ability to not lose power and range while shooting through walls.

When using akimbo with the Ranger you should always fire both barrels of one gun, rather than fire all four shells on one guy or fire one from each gun. When you fire a shot from each gun you are making yourself infinitely more vulnerable when you reload. If you shoot both barrels of one gun, then you still have one out while reloading. You should always have a gun available in case another person runs in.

Perks
Rangers dont really benefit from any perks. Stopping Power still has the same amount of shots per kill.. and then nothing else directly affects the gun. If you run around with these as primaries you will want scavenger.. steady aim isnt that useful for a shotgun.
The stats for a Ranger kill
Point blank OHK
Mid.(Top and Bottom reticle things are on head and foot) OHK
Long(Top is directly above the u if the name is Guest 2 and bottom is foot) 2HK
if painkiller is on the Point blank and Mid are the same while Long is 3HK.

Classes
Rush
Any
Ranger akimbo
semtex or tknife
flashbang
Scavenger
Lightweight/Coldblooded depending on gametype and map.
Ninja
Painkiller

Doesn't need to be explained

Defense
LMG or powerful assault rifle
Ranger Akimbo
Tactical Insertion
preference
Scavenger
ColdBlooded
Ninja
Painkiller

This class is good for defending an objective in a spawning objective game. You could use c4 or claymore but if you put a tacinsertion somewhere nearby yet safe you can always get back and get revenge if you are killed. Don't confuse this as camping, its more patrolling an area to make sure noone captures the objective..

Now you can see why it is a miniguide, and hopefully you gained a little bit of knowledge with this.

Special thanks to JOS! I will post some links later.

ive used the ranger akimbo as my secondary pretty much from day 1 lol its fantastic.

its more of a defensive style secondary, say for example if you camp the middle on derail with a claymore on each entrance, once a claymore gets tripped the ranger akimbo is ideal for watching that entrance no other gun can beat it, i've got a ranger nuke before(unintentionally i just kept getting rushed i'd say i got around 17/18 of the 25 with the rangers.)

atm i mostly use G18 Akimbo cz i do quite alot of Gamebattles and i prefer the fast swap time and long range.

i guess you do need something to make you get as close to possible to enemy with these guns, because that is the only way you are going to kill them Happy, also i agree with sleight of hand pro, the slow reload can give you a death sometimes, so being able to reload quickly can save your life, especially since you will be in a close quarter situation with these guns

ah yes, they are the best weapon for close quarter fighting, also nice job man

ah the g18's, i have only used them a few times, i do love their fast rate of fire, i think that is so beast, in close they are amazing at killing people, and going for double/triple sprays. also that is true about the faster switch time, which can save your life sometimes
