Apparantly they're better quality, but if you have the money and want the real experience not some crappy headset, then get a surround sound system (5.1 or even 7.1)

My headphones are decent quality, around £20. For £100+, I expect to be hearing footsteps from the other side of Afghan.

I'll have to get SitRep Pro first! 0/120 so I'm going to be busy. By the way, I think suppressed weapons are still loud.

the point of a gaming headset is to hear your enemys footsteps and know where they are located. I use the Tritton AxPro and they are very helpful I can hear people with ninja but when people use other perks like sit rep to me thats like a free kill I instantly know where they are. So if you use perks like sit rep the others people with headsets will know exactly where you are and only for $160 I improved my gamve by a lot.

I don't know about the specs of gaming headsets but I bought a pair because I wanted to game on a high volume without waking my neighbours. So I picked up some cheap Turtle beaches and now I can do that.

before hand i would have agreed with you, but i have a sound system lady uses, so then i went and bought my self a surround sound headset because i got my own tv n ps3 to play with her online, and i think my headset is so much better. i have neighbors so i can't just keep my surround system cranked all the time when i like to play into the wee hours of the night. the headset is so much better.
