So to figure out what sensitivity suits you best you need to look at a few certain things that this guide will cover.

Reaction Time

So to even think about changing your sensitivity you first need to concider if raising your sensitivity will even help your game out. If your a very slow player that usually gets killed even while camping then you should stick to 2 sensitivity. If you can kill people in the middle of getting shot at then you COULD raise it if you WANT to. I put emphasis on these words because once you change it, its hard to go back.

Play style

If your a rusher like me then i reccomend a higher sensitivity, 4 - 5 is ideal for these players.

If your a camper.. leave this thread. Lol jokes. You probally will be aiming down one spot or going for longshots go you need a lot more control, stick with 2.

If your a sniper you'll need a high sensitivity to quickly move your scope. Honestly 5 - 7 is more then enough but some people like going up too 10. This is horrible for when you switch back to regular guns.

If your a competitive player then a low sensitivity is also really great because getting the first shots on your enimies is really important and for that you need a lot of control. 2 - 4 Is concidered to be the best.

Additional Info

Honestly sensitivity is completely subjective and there isn't really a BEST sensitivity in the game. There is just a general which a lot of people like. There is no reason to go to 10 sensitivity to impress people, sensitivity won't increase your skill, its like a weapon that you use, a tool you can use to make yourself better.

In cod black ops im probally going to go down a couple sensitivity levels just because i think hip firing is going to be a lot more popular agian and for that you need more control then just ADS'ing because when you do aim down sights its a lot easier to control.

Well i personally played on 2 all of W@W, i've quick scoped a lot, i've played competitive games before so i've pretty much done it all exept camping.. I know what suits what the best.

True but you will need to aim properally and overall how many times do you turn on somebody compared to the times you die in a gunfight because he aim'ed in on you faster? Either way you could still turn on people espeically if you prone and turn while sprinting to get up.

Nice, i never said that 10 sensitivity is bad or that you can't win with it, its not very ideal for maximizing your potential IMO

Try out competitive gameplay with 10 maybe it'll change your mind, pubs i can win with an m9 no attachment without perks..

I used to do good on around 6, so I just moved myself up to 10 when I was quickscoping, and was getting killed because I couldn't drag fast enough. I guess I just got used to the mechanics for normal play. I mainly use it because if I'm getting shot from behind, I can spin myself around faster than a blink, and probably get the "Get Turned On" kill. I'm not too much into the competitive community, but are you asking for a 1v1 with you using an M9, and me using anything?

Lol no im not at all insulting you or anything im just saying that even if your good on 10 you'll probably be better with a lower sen. You can get that turned on kill with even 2 sensitivity.. usually its not that your good to turn on somebody its just that they have horrible aim/lagg anyways. ( Of course not denieing that you need skill to turn on somebody )

The thing about sniping thats a common misconception is that a higher sen makes you better. Honestly if you stayed at 6 you wouldn't need to drag enough if you could line it up with the centre of your screen.

Although if you want a 1v1 with me using m9, ill do it only if i can use eqqip and akimbo.

yep its in my FAq, these are just general guidlines as to what usually works best, just as any other guide is IMO.

I think I'll try bumping down to 6 again for a game or two. You inspired me. lmao. What I mean by the dragging, is that I couldn't drag over, or line him up in the time it would take an opponent. And I'm not asking for an M9 1v1, I was just unsure on what you meant by "pubs". Personally I don't really like the M9. :mudkip:

Well i wouldn't recommend it, one thing i notice about people is that they want to go higher to 360 and people in montages always use high sensitivities. This is purely for show it really isn't practical and honestly unless your gonna become a youtube sensation i don't see any reason to go that high.
