But after I start FTP server, I get a black screen. I have tried CJPC's FTP server and Blackbox FTP server and I still get a black screen and the only way to get to the xmb is by turning the PS3 off using the power button.

I searched everywhere on the net and could not find a solution. Any help will get you in my challenge lobby, I promise. Once I sort this problem.

I cant get to the patch stage yet. I keep getting a black screen when starting any FTP server.

Have you tried different versions of it?

I have tried the following -

CJPC FTP server
Blackbox
Awesome File Manager

And they all give me black screen, I really want to fix this problem asap. Anyone please help me.

Have you updated your Jailbreak,PSGroove or whatever to the version where you don't need a Blu-Ray Drive?

I'm a noob to this aswell, but I got mine working first time with Awsome File Manager.

Im using a teensy 2.0 board with psgroove_atmega32u4. I didnt know ther was a version for that worked with faulty blu-ray drives. Any help is greatly appreciated. +rep to you, thanks.

It is something to do with your blu ray drive is it even connected or is it just the laser?

hmm im not sure, I downloaded PSGroove Hex which was modified to play backups without blu-ray disc inside. But still got a black screen while trying to load the FTP server.

Try putting a disc in it even though it cant read it:confused:
