I have successfully jailbroken my PS3, gotten a working Tree Patch on it, and messed around with it. I decided I had enough fun and it was time to put the patch onto my other PS3 which can connect online.

I did the Data Transfer from my lower firmware to my online firmware; it all said it went smoothly. Problem is, the patch is just a normal patch and it will not work in split-screen, private match, or online.

There are no traces of it on that system, or the original system either.

What am I doing wrong?

I've already done the jailbreaking. Even did the Data transfer Utility. Nothing I do seems to make the patch work on the Online PS3. It just acts like a regular patch.

Heres the solution.

Step 1: Re-Jailbreak PS3
Step 2: Transfer Modded Patch to PS3 via FTP Server
Step 3: Shut off your ps3
Step 4: Reboot PS3 Without JB and load mw2.

This happens to everyone, once you load your jailbreak, and start up mw2 with the jailbreak still on, the patch will not work when you shut your ps3 off and reboot without jb. You need to install the patch with jailbreak, then turn it off, reboot ps3, without jb and it should work.

I transfer to my other PS3 while in Jailbreak. I have never had a problem...

Make sure you aren't transferring while Jailbroken. If you are then it won't work.

So would I upload patch VIA server, while Jailbroken load up MW2, the shut off PS3. Then transfer patches without jailbreak?

Go to PS3.
JailBreak It.
Install Patch .pkg file.
Play Split Screen
Start the Game.
If works, Restart PS3 with JailBreak.
It SHOULD Have worked.
Then go to Private Match and play with your patch.

I'm so confused and I apologize to everyone trying to help.

Jailbreak PS3.
Install FTP server pkg.
Use ftp server and filezilla to transfer the patch located in GAME>BLUS303077>USDIR>patch_mp.ff.
Quit FTP server.
Check patch in SplitScreen.
Reboot PS3 (UN-JAILBROKEN).
Data Transfer to 3.50 ps3.
Wala.

P.S. THNX welcome and don't leave ps3 on for more than 5hrs straight. Don't want to get lobbies, then YLOD like me .
