I have successfully jailbroken my PS3, gotten a working Tree Patch on it, and messed around with it. I decided I had enough fun and it was time to put the patch onto my other PS3 which can connect online.

I did the Data Transfer from my lower firmware to my online firmware; it all said it went smoothly. Problem is, the patch is just a normal patch and it will not work in split-screen, private match, or online.

There are no traces of it on that system, or the original system either.

What am I doing wrong?

sorry mate i only use wired connection. tried it dont work tried both actually been trying so much shit and yet i cant figure this BS. /facepalm

Alright. I'm right by both of my PS3's right now; just too tired of trying. i might get back up in a second and do it.

I was able to get the Modified PKG for MW2 installed Through the package installer and transferred to 3.50. Only problem is I cannot invite my friends through that one. Only if I could edit a clean MW2 pkg and add my own .ff file.

Hopefully the FTP method will get fixed for me soon.

Hmmm.. maybe you data transfered while jailbroken

Tried that too. Is there a step-by-step guide somewhere on how to do it? Maybe I need a better guide. I've already followed like 12, but who knows. I guide preferably not on this forum, because I have tried plenty of tutorials on this one.

Try This :

TRANSFERING PATCH TO ONLINE:
Turn off, and unplug the power cable from both systems (PS3s).
Plug in an ethernet cable from one PS3 to the other.
Plug the power cable back into each system, and turn them on.
Go to 'Settings -> System Settings -> Data Transfer Utility'
The instructions on screen will guide you through the transfer process, and it should be fairly straightforward.
Make sure to transfer the contents of the JailBroken PS3 onto the Online PS3, not the other way around. We want to send the patch to the online system so we can use it online. Transfer from v3.41 PS3 to v3.50 PS3 (or whatever the current firmware is)
After the transfer is complete, turn both systems off.
Plug the ethernet cable back into your router, or use wireless (however you connect your PS3 to the internet).
Turn on your Online PS3 (current firmware system)
Start up Co MW2. Go to Play Online (sign in if you haven't already).
Start the match.
You should have your modded patch.

I'm having the same problem. I am using FTP server on the PS3, I tried blackb0x, but it would not let me transfer files, only browse them. Also my BD drive is busted so I'm using a patch 1.11 pkg.
Anyone have any ideas why it won't work for the three of us?

Ok i solved the problem. Why I was having the issue was because I installed mw2 patch 1.11 while the ps3 was jailbroken. Now to avoid this problem simply just follow the steps
1.insert the mw2 disk on regular ps3 mode
2. Loaf mw2
3.install patch when It tells you to
4.exit game then put ps3 on jailbreak
5.transfer patch via any FTP
6.test if hacks work or not while jailbroken.
7.if it works then data utilty transfer while jailbroken

That worked for me
