I have successfully jailbroken my PS3, gotten a working Tree Patch on it, and messed around with it. I decided I had enough fun and it was time to put the patch onto my other PS3 which can connect online.

I did the Data Transfer from my lower firmware to my online firmware; it all said it went smoothly. Problem is, the patch is just a normal patch and it will not work in split-screen, private match, or online.

There are no traces of it on that system, or the original system either.

What am I doing wrong?

Quit FTP server.
Check patch in SplitScreen.
Reboot PS3 (UN-JAILBROKEN).

P.S. THNX welcome and don't leave ps3 on for more than 5hrs straight. Don't want to get lobbies, then YLOD like me Winky Winky.


Tried it, still didn't work. I'm starting to lose hope. I don't know what I am doing wrong. Maybe it is just me.

You "CAN" transfer while in Jailbreak, I do that every time.

Do you also test the patch out on 3.41 before transferring?

I sure do Smile.

That is what I do, I FTP my patch, test it. If it works, I data transfer it over. I never restart out of jail break..

Does the Comgenie's Awesome File Manager not work for this?

This might be my problem as well.

You have to data transfer to other PS3 that is only way.

You do not have to FTP, no, You can use the file manager and USB like you are to put the patch on your jailbreak, that is fine.

Mine didn't work 1st time, I tried formatting (no luck)
however I got black box instead of the FTP server and it worked, I've been hosting for a while now Smile

I also, use blackbox, not FTP server.
