(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I told you lot that this would be a default_mp.self fix.

It doesn't matter if you hacked the patch and got it working. All you guys are doing is deleting the default_mp.self. Now what this does is forces the game to read the default_mp.self from the PS3 disc which has no checks.

So for all the people saying modded lobbies on 1.12 your not on 1.12 servers so stop posting crap like that. I knew when 1.12 would come out many people would hack the patch_mp.ff and say i can host on 1.12 when the reality is your not hosting on 1.12.

Here's what i said on my original post where i stated that IW and Sony are working together.

As you guys know IW is going to shortly be releasing a 1.12 update which is suppose to fix challenge lobbies. The debug was put this week on Monday on the Sony servers. Below i have just put some info to correct some people.

Info on Security
Debug's don't have any checks on them, they are used to test out the patch before the initial release and are only available to the developers hence why we are not told to update. After debug's retails follow. Now this time MW2 has placed checks on the default_mp.self. This is what Treyarch did with black ops. I am sure when the new update comes out this will be the case as a anti cheat protection was found by Ihatecompvi.

Little Info On DVARs
Now people are saying they can't fix DVARs and the patch has already been converted. The DVARs can't be patched but can be hotfixed this is done via the server similar to black ops hot fixes. This is why some infections do not work in an online game. However if you add a dvar to your patch then the DVAR is unpatched as long as your host. When your host the server reads from your patch therefore it reads your modified DVAR and uses your connection. Also using this you can unpatch glitches i.e. airdrop, elevator but again you must be host to use them glitches.

My conclusion.
IW released a debug update this week on the SONY servers, also this week SONY issues a statement stating you will be banned if your using CFW, and if you hack online. However SONY has given you a chance to remove the CFW and update to 3.56. If that being said i think IW is waiting for users to either get banned or update. This way they kill of a high percentage of hackers. So once a high percentage are killed the users who updated to 3.56 and still have CL's will have their patch overwritten in order to play MW2 online. Also once users update they won't have CFW no more so no more CL's for them.

ye lol had to be done. I think the default_mp.self has a checksum placed on it which detects the size of the patch. if the patch size does not correspond with the checksum on the default_mp.self then this causes the black screen

So we have to edit the patch, and modify the checksum to get the right file size value? good theory btw

thanks and ye i think this could be the case. If someone edits a gsc file of a patch and still maintains the original size of that modded gsc file it could work.

I would test it myself but i sold of my PS3 for an iphone 4 lol

Its Not As Simple As That Tho, If You take Out The Security Then Your Reducing The File Size, Which Then The Patch Reconises And Gives You A Black Screen :(
