Anyway I have just finished my new tool Patch 2 PS3



The tool allows you to send patches to your PS3 straight from you computer you will need a jail-break and black box.

I will not release the tool because as its not been tested on a PS3 (I don't have JB any more )

It does not force an update when you data transfer from a PS3 with CFW 3.55 to one with OFW 3.66. Now when you try to data transfer from OFW 3.66 to CFW 3.55 it will force an update.

This whole sub-forum would be a ghost town if Sony blocked us from data transfer.

Keep your CFW 3.55.

kk thanks for your reply bro ......i no it pretty dumb to update a 3.55 cfw but here my problem i have 3 ps3 one on 3.55cfw second ps3 on 3.66 ofw but i got corrupt data last week cant read games and third one got yellow light off death on fw 2.72 ok ........and what i wanted to do was tranfer 3.55 patches to my 3.66 but now there no point as the ps3 cant read games so i sent my ylod ps3 on fw 2.72 to get fix by gd friend of mine so for mean time i just want to ram my 3.55cfw with loads patches and update so i can just play them online asap and them jailbreak my 2.72 in few weeks so i just wanted to know that if i update 3.55cfw nothing will happen like get banned lose patches so thanks for letting me know bro ill take your word and update to 3.66 play my patches and jailbreak my 2.72 and tranfer patches to my ps3 that was on 3.55cfw later on with the jailbroken 2.72 (that b jb on 3.55) thanks for your help bro and if you need mw2,waw,cod4 challenge lobby or even bops (ill have see i get ban 1st )just me add me on rimz_09 thanks againt

I see now. Yes, when you update your CFW 3.55 to OFW 3.66 you will keep all of your modified patches. I did the same thing with the MW2 1.11 patch on JB 3.55 months ago when PSN uprageded to 3.56.

I would recomend that when you update your CFW 3.55 PS3, upgrade to OFW 3.55 before upgrading to OFW 3.66.
