-Alright, so starting from the very beginning.
-You will need to have an internet connection on your cfw ps3.
-You guys are going to want to download one of these 1.13 updates depending on your region.

-Once downloaded, put it on a usb flashdrive and install it into your PS3.
-Once it is installed you are going to want to install this link for a FTP server pkg.: You must login or register to view this content. and once you've downloaded it, put it on your usb and install it on to your PS3.
-When it's installed click on it so it opens and an IP address in red colors pops up.
-Now go to your computer.
-Now download this program which helps you connect your PS3 to your computer: You must login or register to view this content.
-Once you've installed that into your computer you are going to click twice on it so it opens.
-On FileZilla, click 'File' then 'Site Manager' then 'New Site'.
-Look at the IP address on your PS3 because this will be the 'host' for FileZilla.
-On FileZilla, the port you need to type in is 21.
-The username is FTPD12345.
-You will not need a password.
-Now once you have done that and your IP addresses match then click connect.
-Now go to hdd0.
-Then go to BLUS 30377 or BLES00683.
-Once in there delete the default_mp.self.
-Then replace the patch_mp with one of the 1.11 patches I'll provide at the bottom of this post.
-After you've done that, you're done just close out, do a data transfer, and you'll be hosting MW2 1.11 challenge lobbies on a 1.13 update without a patch blocker.

I do not have a particular liking of these patches. In my opinion they are all great. And for those that don't know, they are region free.

Or there is an alternative option. You can install a 1.11 update with a modded 1.11 patch and edit the PARAM.sfo file to 1.13 with a PARAM.sfo editor.

Same i finally got mine to work, your friends have to bypass in order to connect or it won't let them join your session etc.

so ur telling me i can host 1.11 patches on 1.13? so i can play with only one who is on 1.13 plz exsplain

You will only be able to go online with people who are bypassing, but you will not have to bypass yourself

You deleted the default_mp.self?

I really, do not understand what the problem is. Hmmm... try looking at your MW2 disk or case is and look to see what the region code is. It's usually near the center of the disk. Your problem may be that you do not have the right region.

I just tested it out. I added some random dude I was playing with, we both quit to the XMB screen, I invited him to a game afterward and he was able to join. He did not bypass either.

im kind of new to modding, of course i was doing it when the whole craze with Geohot was out but ever since they updated all that i only recently got my hands on a 3.55 FW ps3 which i put kmeaw and stuff on, i dont like the new patches for mw2 1.13 i love all the old ones from last year and iv been looking for a simple tutorial on how to host on bypass, thanks 4 the post, (btw i still think comgenies easier)

Yes, that's what ou where suppose to do was it not? I have to admit the title was deceiving, I was looking forward to hosting mosssy v5 on 1.13
