(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); Sorry if its in the wrong section, THANKS A LOT if you show your support by reading it and sharing your thoughts. Thats if you get a chance as it will most likely be shot down 100 pages within an hour by people looking to expand their eFame when infact they are expanding this game to trash. This is NOT DIRECTED TOWARDS ANY MEMBER, I DIRECTED THIS TOWARDS MYSELF AND THE ENTIRE CHEATING COMMUNITY AS A WHOLE.

Thanks for your time...

The Invention
"Everything intercepts us from ourselves." - Ralph Waldo Emerson

I will start this off by saying that at one point in time I was able to proudly say that I was at the forefront of hacking some game, whether that was SOCOM 2 and through out the series, the PSP or more recently the PS3 and MW2. Ill admit unlike others from the past of great defeats including military leaders etc that what I have done was completely wrong, Ive destroyed games for thousands, been worshiped like a king and in the end done nothing but wreck something for someone else. I originally thought when I first started to learn how to code I was doing something good which I always tried to maintain to code for learning purposes and not gain, times have changed and look where I am today... I am writing this 'article' because I feel partly at fault for everything that happened to a game that whether we admit it or not took years to design and in a few weeks it was like it didn't even matter. I was a leader throughout everything Ive been a part of and I think tonight and for the times of the future I have to be a leader now. Let me say in NO way are we different from those during the ps2 days, everything spread like wildfire like it is now but thats why we need an 'intervention' to assess what we have messed up and our plan to fix it. I will cover, what our problem is what that truly means and how to fix it along with our past, present and future.

The first step of fixing the problem is to admit what the issue is and an honest method of how we will fix it as lets face it if we dont do something today then what Is going to happen tomorrow? I started posting the information I did for the sole purpose of education not the destruction of a game which in all honesty I should have seen it comming as it had the same warning signs of its predecessors, it all started with something so simple but then turned into a blaze and then everyone had to have it. We need to realize that its more than some stupid score on the leaderboards, even though it may have been cool at one point we need to fix it and trust me if we dont it only gets worse from here on in. We can either work together to fix what we have damaged or just ignore it and think it will repair itself.

Lets face it we are selfish, greedy for popularity "hackers" that really are only looking to improve our eGo. We have to face it that we are the people to blame and I blame myself as for as far as I can remember that after the leaderbaords were exploited I was the one to lead this nation to cheating I dont blame anyone else, most people are naive when they cheat this game they were not part of history's past they dont know or dont see what can truly come if not a single man will stand up for whats right, we cant leave it to IW to fix everything we fawk up, they put in extra time, wasting time fixing our errors or rather should I say 'our stuck up awesomeness' I always said I dont condone hacking and In ways I would contradict myself when I would do it but we HAVE to see what we have done wrong and we have to act on it now, NOT IW, US(we), YOU, WE AS A COMMUNITY. IW can do whatever they want, they wont stop us, us stops us, us(we) tells us when to end and put a stop to our foolish behavior. Lets take action and realize that yeah there is a whole other side to posting some tut how to hack the gamesave, how to get on top lets try and face it in the end it doesn't really matter.

How can we fix it? We can only fix it if we can all agree and realize that it is for the better than some rank, number or rep. Let me explain why I choose the quote "Everything intercepts us from ourselves." yes, it might not make sense but just think about it, it goes along with this situation because everything WE are becomes the GAME, if we are greedy then the game will be filled with people obsessed with ranks, if we want fame we will do whatever it takes to obtain us that fame whatever that may be such as posting a tutorial a new exploit or hack just to get up our eGo. If we want to move past this and make a changed than we will have to work together as a community, as the NGU nation to fix what is wrong. Lets be proud saying we not only started it but we were wise and brave enough to end it as a cost to whatever that may be. I personally am done with it mainly and will be like that because we need to be the better man, like Ive said IW can release a million more patches but we will ALWAYS be the ones to blame or become the fame. I guess it all just comes down to being human, having greed and those like myself and others who want to be the better man.

I hope that the above post has made you think in some way, spark something in your brain to notice what we are doing wrong and why we need to fix it. For those who were there in 2002 on the forefront of what we call console hacking I hope you can place yourself back there such as like what I have done to support the cause, we all will complain again now about MW2 like we did for SOCOM we need to realize it is NEVER to late to fix what we have messed up even though this game only now has a few scars we can walk past them as a community if we work together for a common goal. Please post your thoughts and what you feel about this game being glitched, exploited, abused, and hacked in numerous ways. We have to think and act as a community to get anywhere And please remember....

I agree fully with this man. Let me explain why.

The idea that we need an intervention is kind of out-there in terms of it actually happening. Yes, this is a forum, and a few people will support you, and so on. The fact of the matter is - there won't be an intervention.

There really is no better word to describe this than transcendentalism (if you don't know what it means: You must login or register to view this content.). You are putting fourth an idea (a nice one, not bashing you) and it won't follow through, whatsoever.

Are we as a community destroying MW2? No. Are we making it better? Yes. Why? Because:

- Hacking/exploiting/glitching/boosting; whatever form of 'cheating' you wish to identify is good for a game. Developers need people like us to find holes so they can fix them.

Sure, if there were no hackers, boosters, glitchers, or exploiters, everything in the world electronic would be, well, bliss. However, this isn't a reality. There will always be someone.

If you kind of get where I'm going here...

+1 for the forum spirit and the wonderful attempt at community connection and support

-10 for not realizing that absolutely nothing will happen.

Nope... if nobody was hacking, then there would be no need to fix them. As you said, there will always be someone hacking, but NGU has some of the best. And some holes you can't fix. Like bypassing in COD4. There was no way to stop that.

Let's face it, we're here to make the game easier for us, not to help out Infinity Ward.

Resistance - 1

Why did you put "resistance - 1?"

wow i think that all you guys that believe this crap should GTFO of this forum. This a forum primarily made up for glitches and hacking. You really feel bad that you hacked a game that made people millions and millions of dollars. We should hack harder and make them do more work for all the money they are making with this game. Plus they are already going to be making more money from the map packs if these map packs do even a bit as well as the WaW map packs did. I feel like you want a grand old exit from the glitching world and live in peace and harmony with the rest of humanity. Well sorry to say hackers are the Bad Asses of society and we will always be around. It is human nature to be curious and to bypass and hack our way to get where we are not suppose to go. Who cares about the other people that bought the game. I paid my 60 dollars for this game i will do what i want with it. I wish i could be a video game creator. It is the chillest job in the world. Every day you go to work in a tshirt and jeans and play around with a video game. Half of them probably be smokin some weed on the side. If you want to give up hacking then do it but don't try to bring other people with you especially when over 110,000 people came to this site to enjoy glitches and hacks.

@ All the people saying that hacking the leaderboards is no big deal, it really is. To you it seems like nothing, as you are only one in around 2,000 people hacking the leaderboards. But to everyone else, it's a big deal. You truly are ruining the game.

As I said, a lot of people care about those leaderboards, and hate your guts for hacking them. Less than 1% did hack it, meaning that over 99% are being ripped off.

Think about it from that 99%'s point of view. They don't know how to hack the leaderboards, and here there are around 2,000 people that are totally ruining the game for them.
Sure, everybody keeps saying that hacking the leaderboards is no big deal.

Remember QuantumForce?

Do you remember how pissed off everybody, including you, was because he was unfairly at the top of the leaderboards? And now you can hack it, so you don't care?

That's realll mature...

You must mistake me for somebody else. I have no idea what you are talking about, I was not pissed at anybody for hacking the LB, and you wanna know the best part? I haven't even done it, ONCE.

***EDIT***

Back then, Socom was as hard to hack as MW2 was now. Even though the devs are constantly adding in more defenses, we are constantly learning to get past them. If what we're doing to MW2 continues, it will for sure end up like Socom.

"Those who cannot remember the past are condemned to repeat it."

Just keep remembering what happened to good ol' Socom.

Then why didn't this happen to COD4? Sure COD4 had it moments like the CVARS/DVARS with the gamesave, but it all got patched. And even when that was allowed I never saw any of it throughout the thousands of games I played. Dude, the PS3 is pretty much unhackable, sure there is little things here and there but this whole ordeal is blown WAY out of proportion. Socom got F**ked up because people were able to hack the PS2 directly. This is impossible right now with the PS3, and probably isn't going to change anytime soon.

The only way this game would get ruined by hacks is if people were able to run around invincible with infinite ammo with some easy hack, and IW is not be able to patch the problem. So far we have had some leaderboard hacks which locked peoples accounts for which they couldn't even use them anymore. This did NOT ruin he game. People would still play in all their matches like nothing was wrong at all.

As I said before, this happened with COD4 with the CVAR thing. But it got patched. And after that, there was really no way to do any real good hacks. Was the game ruined? NO. Same goes for this... it hasn't damaged the game at all. The only reason people are able to do this was because of a loophole left by IW due to the splitscreen thing, for which they will patch very soon. It's not as if people have hacked the PS3 and are able to manipulate data directly from the PS3 like codemajic allowed them to do.

These 'hacks' people can do now with MW2 are petty and meaningless. They are actually not hacks at all, but just glitches that can be fixed. This scenario is NOTHING like the Socom days.

You guys that take the leaderboard too seriously truly do honestly need a life. You may say hackers have no life etc but **** me at least they dont cry about such a stupid thing such as leaderboards which prove nothing to be honest except you play the game too much and dont get out enough.

This is beyond pathetic now
