I have been using the .50cal silenced/FMJ and, my God, is this thing a beast. Got Red Tiger for it within 3 days, closing in on Fall. If you hit upper chest, one hit kill. Why don't more people silence their snipers? If you're a good shot, there is really no reason not to use a silencer.

this is what i've been sayin for a while now. I personally dont' use it cuz I quick scope so slight of hand is key, but for alot of my hard scoping buddies i tell them to use that cuz FMJ makes up for loss of power and they wont listen.

FMJ doesn't increase damage.
despite what the ingame stats say.

go in a match and try .50cal silenced, it kills with 1 shot kill from the chest and up(with stopping power)
then try .50cal silenced with FMJ and it still kills with 1 shot from the chest up with stopping power, no difference, fmj is a waste of an attachment.

however yes i agree silenced snipers are very good, im not a fan of the barret myself because imo its not a true semi-auto as the recoils too high, something like the WA2000 or M14EBR are excellent to use silenced though.

if it kills 1 shot without FMJ why wouldnt it with it?
but try using fmj silenced on lower body then silenced on lower body and see the difference
