I have been using the .50cal silenced/FMJ and, my God, is this thing a beast. Got Red Tiger for it within 3 days, closing in on Fall. If you hit upper chest, one hit kill. Why don't more people silence their snipers? If you're a good shot, there is really no reason not to use a silencer.

lol what i mean is whether you have FMJ or not when its silenced it still only kills in 1 hit from the chest up(with stopping power) that is with fmj and silencer or with just silencer.
fmj just increases the damge when it goes through walls, normally there is no damage increase, i have tried it in matches before, if you have 2 controllers set up a splitscreen and try it yourself, fmj makes no difference to the damage
If you're campin or somethin, then yeah silencer might be pretty good, if you have the time to hit chest up.

i dont like the 50.cal silenced but i use the intervention this way and its amazing for CTF i hide by my flag leave my scope up with a claymore behind me and get nukes all the time...but without FMJ the silencer is a waste its different when a guy stands in 1 spot and you shoot them with and without FMJ but when someones running around i get more hit markers then kills without FMJ

however yes i agree silenced snipers are very good, im not a fan of the barret myself because imo its not a true semi-auto as the recoils too high, something like the WA2000 or M14EBR are excellent to use silenced though.

Apparently you've never Shot a Barret. The game actually tones down the amount recoil you would get from a Barret. Also there is no way in hell someone would be running around with one and shoot the damn thing while standing up. You'd get knocked on your ass so quick. Either way by defintion the Barret is a true Semi since it's not the amount of recoil a gun has that makes a gun semi or single shot, but rather the way the round is chambered. Either it's a bolt action, semi-auto, or full-auto.
