I have been using the .50cal silenced/FMJ and, my God, is this thing a beast. Got Red Tiger for it within 3 days, closing in on Fall. If you hit upper chest, one hit kill. Why don't more people silence their snipers? If you're a good shot, there is really no reason not to use a silencer.

I thought silceners make your weapon less damage?

I prefer people to know where I am. That means they're going to come after me, then I can wipe round with my shottie when I hear them coming.

now, from what I've read and my personal experience, having a silencer and fmj is pointless.

the fmj rounds make a different noise, and when they are fired the muzzle flash is much greater than a regular bullet. so, wouldn't that defeat the silencer, if the noise is different and the flash is brighter - people will find you. might as well use a heartbeat sensor and a silencer or something worthwhile.

Yes but even if you're an amazing sniper, that silenced barret might not get 1 shot kill once and it will decided whever you get a nuke or not, i personally don't take chances.

Of course its good with FMJ. People just don't use silencers because they reduce damage drastically without using FMJ, particularly on the Intervention. Also, there's essentially no need for a silencer whatsoever, and I'm never wasting my sleight of hand pro perk just to have a silencer, which is 100% useless if you're good enough. I also don't like it because it's not as satisfying as a unsilenced sniper

I used FMJ stopping power and Silencer, 2 hit kill. I just use thermal scope with my 50 barrett cal.
