Had a decent challenge requirement to obtain them. The downside was that it was only for certain weapons, and you had to finish all the challenges, with all weapons, in that category, to get it.

To me, BO gold camo was a real challenge to obtain. It meant that you were dedicated to getting to 14th prestige, which is hard enough for some people. Then you had to have 50,000 CoD points to spend, to finally have it

Personally, I think it should show some skill and a certain dedication (i.e- prestige level) to obtain.
100 game winning kills with that particular weapon, finish all challenges for the weapon and be at least 5th prestige to be able to have it

I think if the 'gold gum camo' is re-introduced into MW3, then the original CoD4 style to unlock the camo should be used, its not to hard, but at the same time its not to easy.

I liked having headshot challenges for weapon camos. Back on MW2 getting headshots actually meant something. On Black Ops it's just like mehhhh.

I think it should be unlocked at 10th prestige (or the highest prestige), and by completing certain challenges for each gun, like 1000 kills and 100 headshots or something. The highest prestige itself is a challenge, and gold guns would just be another incentive in completing that.

Yeah Cod4 Style Is Great, I Think it Should Be Unlocked at Last prestige Then Around 1000 kills & 200 Headshots!!

Your ideas are good apart from the 100 GWKs with the weapon... 100 games takes a looonnngggg time to just PLAY, let alone getting the GWK for those games. I think, if you unlock it ONE prestige, you can use it for every prestige after and u don't have to keep unlocking it. (GWK=Game winning kill)

I really hope they bring gold guns back!
