Somehow my MW3 got scratched and won't let me play online. I have my receipt and packing list, and it says opened merchandise can be exchanged for the same item. Well, this is what I plan on doing.
Most likely, the guy will ask me why I am exchanging it. How do I answer this?

Its a 30 day warranty. Just say its scratched and they HAVE to exchange it. It is their policy.
Tell him when you opened it there was like a manufacturing error and say right when you got it you opened it and put it in it wouldn't load and you looked at the back it has manufacturing scratches.

I may try that.

Lol just walk up there and say, "I'm exchanging it because I feel like it."
I dont think that you should mention the scratch if it isnt that noticeable. Heres Gamestop's return "rules". You must login or register to view this content.
Or you can say that it was packaged wrong and upon opening the game it was damaged. =D

From their site. "Defective product(s) will be replaced with a like item, upon return." It's somewhat noticeable, I sent an email to their customer service branch, claiming it was a manufacturing defect.

Go to gamestop and say you opened your game and it didn't have a disk inside. They'll look at you shocked as **** but it does happen and they will replace it
