I happen to think there are alot less of them than people imagine there are, here's why...

There's a uav up and you see someone is going to come around a corner near you, you could either go prone and kill them when they appear or you might quickly hide so when they run past you shoot them in the back.. From their veiw it looks like they've been camp killed.

If you've just emptied a clip and killed 1 or 2 enemies and you know there's more coming, you might be sensible enough to take cover and reload, when you then jump out and kill the next.. It looks like you were camping.

I've often won a 1v1 but took damage so my screen is red so I'll get in the nearest corner and crouch down to recover, just then someone runs by so I do the sensible thing and shoot them.. You know what that's going to look like on their killcam.

Someone has died several times attempting to cap a flag or plant a bomb, it was a hard won battle so they might want to defend it for a little while. When they've killed a few enemy in that area they move on to the next objective but it may seem they've been camping for ages getting cheap kills.

There are plenty of other scenario's that look like camping, such as people hiding to call in a killstreak or taking cover to change their class.
People need to look at the big picture and maybe realise that camping isn't as common as they think it is.

Probably the #1 think this game did to promote camping is to keep track of your KDR. That wasn't in any games before CoD4

I'm not running into a whole lot of campers but, last night while playing HC kill confirmed, my team ran into a slew of campers three games running. Now, it was the same opposing team but they wouldn't get out of corners or behind objects. We still won handily but it was a bit frustrating....

Recently there have been A LOT MORE CAMPING going on HARDCORE KILL & CONFIRMED!!! It's really annoying when you have a guy behind a claymore (deep) in the corner laying down!!! ANNOYING!!!

When I look at my kill cam and see a noob with the noob heart beat censor, that's when I accuse them of camping.

Or if I'm killed by a noob, look at the kill cam, and go back to that same spot that they were in and they are still sitting there, I say it is camping.

People hiding in corners doesn't happy nearly as much in Ground War which is why I play it. However some people make it an excuse too much. I mean people even bad mouth snipers if they don't run around the map quick scoping. There is a happy median between hiding like a bitch and running around with zero awareness getting owned. In all fairness, Battlefield 3 players do similar things but get excused for it because the game is more realistic.

Yeah but in the heat of a game, when someone kills you even if he kills you while you're camping you would shout "what a camper" lol

Camping to me is just people who run back and forth an area, shooting out windows, camping behind cover, "patrolling" "defensive playing" "conservative" whatever people want to call it, which is plenty of people.
The ones who hide in corners or lay in prone are just pussies .

um no because the maps are so huge that you must be an idiot to stay still in a corner or in one spot continuously , I can agree to that their might be a couple of campers here and there but hey there's always gonna be campers , but where talking about cod , which has way smaller maps , and a lot of incentives for camping , aka killstreaks. Also for some weird reason more than half the cod community thinks it's so important to have a ridiculous k/d when all games ever invented have had the goal to win , so cod players usually camp to get their k/d positive. on Bf there is no incentive , if you want a chopper gunner then go get one , if you want to drop mortars then be an support class , camping is part of the cod community ,

If I'm bitter about anything its all the repeats threads since cod 4 here on ngu , its like nobody learns from past mistakes and keep hoping the next one will be cod 4 , I'm bitter that Activision keeps fucqin us with a sandpaper condom and all off you gladly bend over and take it up the ass every year , I'm bitter about the ignorance of my peers
