Post: Chipset Ethernet fix?
11-22-2010, 12:15 AM #1
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); So I've got this desktop sitting in my living room that nobody uses. It's in good condition, but the chipset ethernet card in it doesn't detect any connection for some reason. I can't go buy a new ethernet card until next week, so I was wondering if anyone knows any way I might be able to go about fixing this?

You need to go on a computer with internet, download the correct driver, and install it on the computer you are trying to fix.

Ok, your gonna have to have a flashdrive for this one. What you need to do, is go to your computer with internet, download a program called CPU-z from You must login or register to view this content. page. Click the file on the right that says "1.56 Setup, English" and download it and put it on your flashdrive. Then you need to transfer it to the computer your trying t fix and install it. after installation open the prgram and go to the mainboard tab and tell me what motherboard you have.

Okay, I'll have to do it when I get home from school though. Smile
