Post: Chipset Ethernet fix?
11-22-2010, 12:15 AM #1
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); So I've got this desktop sitting in my living room that nobody uses. It's in good condition, but the chipset ethernet card in it doesn't detect any connection for some reason. I can't go buy a new ethernet card until next week, so I was wondering if anyone knows any way I might be able to go about fixing this?

Unless it's a custom build in a branded chassis, then you only need to provide us with the Make and model number and you will get the drivers a lot faster Smile

Hey, today I went and bought a new Ethernet card for the computer and all is working fine, but I'm having a new problem. No sound. It seems that the chipset sound card is acting up as well. I've had this problem on nearly every desktop I've ever owned and usually a simple driver download solved the problem, but I don't know which driver to get. If you need me to post the specs I can do so now.

Post the specs just in-case this doesn't work -

Click start, right click computer, then click properties.
Click the hardware tab, then click device manager, and if you see something with a yellow ! next to it, then right click it and click update driver.

Didn't work.

For the specs can't I just go to system tools and system information and give you a screenshot of that instead of downloading the program?
