Post: Chipset Ethernet fix?
11-22-2010, 12:15 AM #1
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); So I've got this desktop sitting in my living room that nobody uses. It's in good condition, but the chipset ethernet card in it doesn't detect any connection for some reason. I can't go buy a new ethernet card until next week, so I was wondering if anyone knows any way I might be able to go about fixing this?

Actually, it worked until I restarted the computer. Now it's not working again. Any ideas?

Thats odd... The only thing i can think of is doing a manual windows update and choosing from the optional list to see if your sound card/chipset is on there.

A friend of mine has a PCI sound card he's going to let me try tomorrow, if that doesn't work I'll report back here.
