(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); I have an HP Pavilion dv6 running windows 7. I was playing cod waw then I stopped playing and rebooted. I got the HP logo then after that it hangs on the underscore with the black background. I can access the BIOS and stuff, all except for safe mode, as when I press F8 it doesn't work. I'm doing a hard disk test and I don't want to reinstall windows. I also do no have access to my cd eight now because I'm on vacation in California (1337 note, I saw Hutch in LA!). I do have access to 3 other computers because I have cousins here. I'm typing this on my iPhone so as you can imagine it took a while. Anyway, I had nothing plugged in except my wired mouse. I unplugged it and tried booting and it didn't work. I unplugged the charger tried booting, took outthe battery etc. I'm leaving my cousins house at about 12:00 pm PST. Im gonna shower so hopefully I get some replies. I don't want to be on a plane for 5 hours and 30 minutes flying back to Pennsylvania doing nothing.

Thanks

Try booting into safe mode by doing a forced recovery... (Turn it off a couple of seconds into boot) Smile

Now, I doubt that will work so you could re-download windows... and try repairing it! :y: Here is Win7 Ultimate Torrent, you could make a Bootable USB or Burn a CD from another computer?! =D
You must login or register to view this content. I'm sure you could find a better torrent... But I'm sure you can torrent search yourself, I won't insult your intelligence. But if you want a Demonoid invite... PM me! :p

Why can't you access the boot devices by pressing F8? If you the boot device got changed it obviously wont detect Windows.
