Tune Up - You must login or register to view this content.

If you get the paid version; it's legit. The free version is shit. It's a legit program though I don't recommend it as I have heard of it causing instabilities with people's computers.

Reg Clean Pro - Don't get it. I only hear bad things about it. You do a little research; there is a lot of negatives towards that software, some stating they were not able to remove it all.

If you are looking to clean up your computer; CCleaner is a great free program, the paid version is even better.

Basically my problem is that my computer does mini spikes. It freezes for like 5 seconds then unfreeze. I got banned on a game for so called "cheating" with these lag spikes. I always wanted to know what the problem was and how to fix it. Since the game is coming back out on late April since it got shut down. And when I play it I don't wanna be experiencing anymore lag spikes aka PC freezing for 5 seconds. Any solutions I can try to fix this?

What is your computers specs and what is running when these "spikes" occur. Your ram memory can only handle so much, your graphics can only handle so much and your processor(s) can only handle so much. Also, tell me how old is your hard drive and what is the speed of it, (5400 or 7200rpm)

If You have a 5400 with 500gb of memory, your hard drive has to search through directories to find data and then release it into ram memory, if it doesn't keep up with the ram memory and has to over process information, you can get spikes in processing speeds. This is normal for lower to medium end computers.

Press Windows Home Key + R and type in msinfo32

Then give me your system information from there.

Yes some specs would be nice and does this happen when just browsing the net or only when running games or programs, if so then could be lack of ram as Pichu said above. As for tune up utilities and these other so called programs they are a waste of time and space they don't relay work. I have i found a great pc cleaner and that is diskmax its great i use it all the time along with ccleaner those 2 would be all i would use. Give them a try. First problem, you are running Windows Vista. Vista sucks so much power it's not even funny.

Number 2, I can see you only have 1gb of ram. You are running a dual core but your ram is an issue right away.

It just appears to be a ram issue, your ram can only handle so much, I'm going assume with these specs you probably don't have too great of a graphics card either.

Go and buy DDR3 Ram, 4gb at the very least. You should notice an improvement.

I cleared a lot of ram space idk why its only 1gb and my graphics card is alright. I spent all of my money so I probably dont have the money right now to buy a new ram. Any other way I can fix it for now?

Ram and Disk space is different. Disk space is your hard drive. Ram is something different.

Don't look at virtual memory, it is shit. It's actually slow unless you are using a 3.0 drive or are on an ancient machine. Reason, most 3.0 can only transfer about 30mbp/s while ram can handle a lot more information than that.
