Basically my problem is that my computer does mini spikes. It freezes for like 5 seconds then unfreeze. I got banned on a game for so called "cheating" with these lag spikes. I always wanted to know what the problem was and how to fix it. Since the game is coming back out on late April since it got shut down. And when I play it I don't wanna be experiencing anymore lag spikes aka PC freezing for 5 seconds. Any solutions I can try to fix this?
What is your computers specs and what is running when these "spikes" occur. Your ram memory can only handle so much, your graphics can only handle so much and your processor(s) can only handle so much. Also, tell me how old is your hard drive and what is the speed of it, (5400 or 7200rpm)
If You have a 5400 with 500gb of memory, your hard drive has to search through directories to find data and then release it into ram memory, if it doesn't keep up with the ram memory and has to over process information, you can get spikes in processing speeds. This is normal for lower to medium end computers.
Press Windows Home Key + R and type in msinfo32
Then give me your system information from there.
