Microsoft Security Essentials + Malware bytes. One of the best combinations possible.

Norton is terrible, it detects everything as a virus. As for AVG, When I first got my computer I downloaded AVG, and my computer was so slow it wasn't even worth using. I highly recommend is a combination of a couple of softwares. What I use: (Extremely good combo)

- Spybot SnD (Protects Registry)
- BitDefender Total Protection Plan (Virus/Spyware - I have paid version, I think a free version is available)
- Malwarebytes Anti-Malware (Extremely good for malware/rogues, the database is updated twice a day, and the free version works just as good as the paid version).

Hope I helped.

I'm using panda cloud pro on my laptop, very fast and good. Also MalwareBytes combined with Windows Security Essentials is a very good combination.
