Post: America vs. UK

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); This debate occurs very often on the internet, mostly forums, but which country can be considered the winner? Which country is better and which is full of faggots?

I'm gonna have to go with America on this one.

i voted for the UK even though im from the states. I've never been to the UK but I never hear anything about the government or random mishaps. In my eyes, the states areen't even that messed up, but the UK just seems so much more simpler.

Few reasons why your country is corrupt:
1.) USA are true imperialists, they always want to rule everywhere and if they do not, they're angry

We are the "big brother" of the rest of the world, whenever trouble shoots up in any part of the world we're there to FIX it, not to control the area.

2.) USA is very egocentric. For example, 9/11 there were 3200 deaths. They screamed "help!" so that all countries are mobilizing to find solutions.
But, what have they accomplished in 1994, while 800,000 Rwandans died in the genocide.
Another example: In 2005 there were 1200 deaths in Louisiana. The United Stats still shouting around the world.
During this time, more than 350,000 Sudanese have died in Darfur. What television network spoke of Darfur?!
Even the death of Michael Jackson has done more to mention in the media than the 800,000 deaths in Rwanda +350,000 deaths in Sudan.

You're judging us because we care about our country more than others? First off, 9/11 was an act of war. The safest country in the world attacked by some towel heads who successfully murdered 3,200 people is something very concerning to the people of the U.S. over some dumbasses with no education killing each other because of discrimination. A natural disaster that occurs in the U.S. leaving millions homeless is also more concerning than a bunch of idiots dressed in underwear fighting for oil, even though it is the U.S. still sent help to Darfur. What exactly did U.K. do to help Rwanda and Darfur when the genocide was occurring? Nothing. We actually had natural disasters and acts of war occurring on our soil yet we still sent help while you guys watched.

3.) They say 'Canada, Australia, New Zealand suck' why? - USA -> War, war and war. Canada and co -> Peace keeping. Canada are friends with every country USA is hated in 80% of all countries.

Don't hate the player hate the game.

4.) To have the largest army of the world has meant that they believed the strongest, but will it still be the strongest if the rest of the world hate you?

The United States spends more money on its military than every other country in the world COMBINED. We can take the whole world on and still **** em' up. Also, the statement "the rest of the world hate [U.S]" is a bit exaggerated. The United States allies are the world powers (even though we're the #1 world power), any country that isn't an ally is factually one of no power and does not contribute to the world. Not because it isn't an ally of the United States but because it just doesn't.

5.)Americans are so egocentric that they claim to have won the Second World War.. Number of causalities in this war - USA: About 363,000. Russia: about 20million.
Number of deaths: USA: About 100,000. Russia: About 12 million
Conclusion: Russia would of won the war by themselves.

Deaths and Casualties are statistics of how many got hurt. Does this not prove Russia just sent in a bunch of people wearing no armor and wielding sticks? While the United States acted of tactic and strategy? Quality>Quantity, just because more people died on your side doesn't mean you won.

It killed civilians who had nothing to do with the war.

You dont understand. Japan wanted a fight, and we were planning a full out invasion of Japan.

One million casualties on the Allied sides were projected. I repeat, ONE MILLION. They were our enemies at the time, and it was either drop the bomb or invade, and we would have lost a lot of men.

Under the geneva convention thats a crime.

No its not. By your logic, Japanese Zeros suiciding themselves into Hawaii is a crime also.

That wasnt the end of anything. The end was when hitler died/suicided and the nazi's couldn't fight any more.

Wrong, Japanese were on their side but fighting a completely different front. When the Nazi's gave up, the Japanese were still fighting and did not give up.

All it ended was the lives of many innocent japanese who didnt want war anymore than the next person.

ONE ****ING MILLION ALLIED CASUALTIES. Your brother, your best friend could have been waiting to invade Japan. Because we dropped the bomb, they didnt invade.

My best friends grandpa was slated to invade Japan. If they didnt drop the bomb, he wouldnt be around today.

That was a perfect example of americas over reaction to everything.

Over reaction? One million of our men were going to die. It was a strategical military advantage, and we implemented it.

So in a way you're basically saying its ok if people are killed, we'll kill them back.

Thats war for you.

there's a huge amount of crime in america and that guns can be bought over the counter.

There isnt. How do you know there is a bunch of crime here? There is a hell of a lot less crime that third world countries. And, the majority of murders are from guns NOT bought over the counter. They are guns smuggled into the US so they cannot trace the evidence back to the person who bought the gun.

Good, we'll take them over when they have finished killing themselves.

International students studying in the UK pay less than those studying in the U.S. and other countries. The average tuition in the UK is about £6,000 to £7,000 a year, in comparison to $25,000+ in the U.S. for tuition alone. Living costs range between £6,000 and £15,000 in the UK, depending on where you study and on your lifestyle.

You forgot to adjust for inflation.

You will also save a considerably large amount of money while studying the UK compared to the US, simply because your degree will likely take less time to complete. Most programs in the Britain are 3 years, and a masters program takes only 1 to 2 years. In the United States, however, many degree programs are four or even five years long. This will obviously cost you a lot more money in the long run.

So we learn more. So what?
