Post: America vs. UK

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); This debate occurs very often on the internet, mostly forums, but which country can be considered the winner? Which country is better and which is full of faggots?

I'm gonna have to go with America on this one.

You are allowed to have guns in the UK, you just have to have a licence. That's what the facepalm was for, because you blatantly have no clue what you're on about.

Yes our rules are a little more strict, not any yokel with a pick up truck and some chickens in the back can by a gun.

As for the point you make in this post, don't you think it's strange how America has a massive gun crime rate compared to other countries...

You're rules are not just a bit more strict, they are outrageous.

Don't you think it's strange how most of the crime is committed by criminals who get their guns illegally... Criminals don't care about laws, let alone gun laws. What are laws gonna do other than keep legal consumers from getting guns?

So allowing everyone to have a gun is a good thing? :O People are alot more likely to turn to using guns if they're yards away. To say our rules for guns are outrageous is just ridiculous We make an effort to make sure that the guns are in the hands of responsible people and make it alot harder for criminals to get hold of them. Sure criminals will get hold of them some how, but not as many. Less guns in the hands of goons like yourself is never a bad thing.

Yes, allowing everybody that fits the guidelines to have a gun is a good thing. If somebody goes on a shooting spree like here at Virginia Tech, nobody has a gun to intervene. If everybody had one, only 1 or 2 people would have been injured that day, because somebody would have shot the fool before he went wild. Does that make any sense or are you going into a state of denial?

Noticed how these things never happen here in the UK?

If they did have a gun on that day it would have ended sooner, there is no denying that. However, it wouldn't happened in the first place if America had stricter rules. Therefore saving all lives instead of a few more.

I can guarantee the UK has more murders with hammers than the US... So does that mean you need to get a permit to own a hammer now? Or should you ban hammers?

Virginia Tech was a gun-free zone that day, how much more strict would you like it to be? If he is dead-set on killing many people that day, he would have done it one way or another. If he wanted a gun, he would get one some way, wether it be through the black market or some other source.

You really think they record hammer murders? No. The argument is just plain silly.

Under our rules he wouldn't have got a gun by law because he had a Anxiety disorder. A student like that would really badly struggle to get a weapon in this country. He was a loner as well so it would have been next to impossible for him to get his hands on a gun. No connections in the social ladder and no legal way of acquiring a gun, meaning no deaths.

The weapon of choice in the UK is hammers and knives. Why should they still be legal if people are being killed with them? Should you have to have permits for those? Good luck eating a steak when you all have banned knives.

The shooter could have stolen the gun or bought it under the radar on the black market. Rules don't apply to that, therefore they can get it just as easily as buying it from the gun store.
