Post: America vs. UK

(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); This debate occurs very often on the internet, mostly forums, but which country can be considered the winner? Which country is better and which is full of faggots?

I'm gonna have to go with America on this one.

In the War Powers Resolution of 1973, he was given the power to deploy troops for a maximum of 60 days without approval from anyone else; he merely has to notify Congress of it within 48 hours, but they can do nothing about it. Of course he would consult his advisors, but in the end he has the final say, no matter the opinion of anyone else. Even so, this in no way means that the US government is a dicatorship/fascist state, as there are many other checks to the president's power.

(Just for future reference, capitalism has absolutely nothing to do with the fact that the US is a democratic republic. Capitalism refers to an economic system based upon private ownership of capital goods, whereas democracy is a political system.)

Someone just got told...

Imagine ONE person in America having all that power. Get one wrong President in there who is power hungry. He/she would be able to do anything they wanted. Think again. None of the Presidents are going to say "Oh, and by the way, There are people above me telling me what to do, what to say and where to go. I'm not your leader" They are all secret though, so you won't know who they are.

Thats why there is a separation of powers. Congress can impeach the president

Congress gets the final say in whether or not we go to war. The president is very influential, but congress can deny going to war.

Congress decides whether we go to war or not, but whether we go to war or not, the president still has the authority to deploy troops for a maximum of 90 days, 30 days in combat, 30 days to withdraw, and another 30 if Congress grants approval.

If Congress is against his decision and the US is against his decision, then the president will most likely get impeached

Maybe, but probably not, unless the deployment was for no reason, because the only way a president can get impeached is if he commits "High Crimes and Misdemeanors"

There's more but I cba, UK wins for me.

Nice job on addressing the weight issue.

-The average teenager who works out in America, is stronger than the average UK lifter.

I'm 16 benching 285, which is about 130kg..
I weight 190, which is about 86kg..

It's not worth arguing, just ****ing drop the subject.

How about we come to an agreement that there's more strong and more fat people in America and the UK is just kinda in between? Because that's how I think it is.
