(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); All right I got a couple questions about it, would appreciate help form someone that is somewhat familiar with the law.

Do you need to be 18+ to perform a citizens arrest?

What types of crimes can a citizen arrest another citizen for?

I want to know cause there is this asain lady that walks up and down the train cars selling pirated movies when I'm going home from school and shes annoying as ****, gets in my face and everything.

Considering pirating movies is illegal I want to know if one day I can just take her down and arrest her?

Just be careful, you are liable for everything when you make that arrest. Citizens are not covered under the legal protections that police officers are. Only use the necessary force to make her surrender. She could possibly sue for "unnecessary force" used, you did state she was a little asian lady. However, in this case this is a Federal issue, she is in violation of copyright laws, illegally selling of property that she did not have rights for. No citizens arrest can be made for federal crimes, only state and local. You better not try. Contact the FBI, make them deal with it, its their issue.

There are 3 situation opportunitys to make a citizens arrest, my dad told me them (RCMP Constable)
-This is an arrest without a warrant by any person other than a peace officer.
Immediately following such an arrest the suspect must be turned over to a peace officer.
A citizen’s arrest can be made under these circumstances…….
A person whom he finds committing an indictable offence.
A person who on reasonable grounds he believes has committed a criminal offence or is escaping from and freshly pursued by persons who have lawful authority to arrest that person.
An owner of property or a person authorized by the owner, can arrest a person whom he finds committing a criminal offence on or in relation to that property.

There is no Age limit, but you better be ready for a struggle, because no one wants to go to jail.
