To and fro the island.
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); So this year, after completely Honors English I, I will be entering Honors English II. Like last year, there is a Summer reading assignment that I will have to complete by the end of the Summer (before the end of the Summer, actually).

I'm simply looking to get somewhat of a feel for the books I have to read, and want to see if any of you have read them, and what your thoughts on them were. The two books I have to read are as follows:

  • The Catcher in the Rye by J.D. Salinger
  • A Separate Peace by John Knowles

Thanks Fionn. Winky Winky I'm really hoping to do significantly better this time around, as procrastination got the best of me last Summer, resulting in me rushing to complete the assignment as Summer came to an end.

That always happens me. No worries all summer , It comes up to the last 2 Weeks and you have a ton of things to do. Hopefully you can plan everything carefully this time Smile

Indeed, indeed. I'm pretty sure I can get it all done by the end of the Summer, no problem, it just comes down to me taking some of my time everyday and investing it towards doing a bit of reading and note taking. The Summer is great, but I can't get too lazy.

The guy who killed John Lennon (You must login or register to view this content.) was found with the book when the police got him.

That's good to hear! I've gotten mixed comments on the book. Some said it is a classic like yourself, and others have said the book is utterly boring.

I see. That's very interesting.
