Kinect is a camera device that will sit near your TV, and it will be able to see all of your movements and translate those movements into the video game. You won't need a controller or a balance board like you do for some of the Wii games, all you need to know is how to move your body around. Kinect is actually a set of 2 cameras. One of the cameras is an RGB camera that is pretty similar to a regular video camera, because it can capture your image. The second camera is an infrared camera that is able to determine between humans and other objects, distinguish between multiple humans, and also be able to judge the depth of your body movements. This is all combined with intelligent software that can actually see over 40 different joints and movements in your body. Lastly, due to Kinect's multi-array microphone, you'll be able to speak out commands to Kinect in order to control the video games with your voice.
PlayStation Move is an upcoming motion-sensing game controller platform for the PlayStation 3 (PS3) video game console by Sony Computer Entertainment (SCE). Based on a handheld motion controller wand, PlayStation Move uses the PlayStation Eye camera to track the wand's position, and inertial sensors in the wand to detect its motion. First revealed on June 2, 2009,[citation needed] PlayStation Move is slated for launch in the PAL region and most Asian markets on September 15, 2010, in North America on September 19, 2010, and in Japan on October 21, 2010.[1] Hardware available at launch includes the main PlayStation Move motion controller, a supplementary PlayStation Move navigation controller, and an optional PlayStation Move charging station.
