Kinect is a camera device that will sit near your TV, and it will be able to see all of your movements and translate those movements into the video game. You won't need a controller or a balance board like you do for some of the Wii games, all you need to know is how to move your body around. Kinect is actually a set of 2 cameras. One of the cameras is an RGB camera that is pretty similar to a regular video camera, because it can capture your image. The second camera is an infrared camera that is able to determine between humans and other objects, distinguish between multiple humans, and also be able to judge the depth of your body movements. This is all combined with intelligent software that can actually see over 40 different joints and movements in your body. Lastly, due to Kinect's multi-array microphone, you'll be able to speak out commands to Kinect in order to control the video games with your voice.

chillax lets not start a argument again, i have a xbox 360,ps3 and wii but mainly play 360 because all my friends have a 360. But i still think the kinect looks better than the move imo, i like the idea of being able to not use a control and use your voice to pause and play while watching a movie.

move is basically a copy of the wii. im surprised theres no lawsuit involved. kinect techinally is the ps eye cause i have a ps eye, except it uses voice recognition and it looks at the joints to see where you move. move is only fightning and stuff of that nature. kinect is all of it and more like the animal one that is fully interactive. i voted for kinect just because it has more stuff and more complicated stuff.

i dislike not holding anything and always hated virtual mocap while playing. the wii is simmilar to it but nothing like holding a controller and as for some games on the wii (wii sports bowling & baseball), i would say it takes luck.

Before even reading any of the replies I could tell the results are very biast towards the PS3 because of the users views on here.

Even if I liked the PS3 more, it doesn't mean I couldn't think Kinect is better than Move. It's very obvious that both companies are trying to get many Wii fans onto the 360/PS3 with this action, but the Kinect seems to be very unique and is incredible since it is completely hands-free and personalized. I do have doubts about how accurate the sensory is going to be for the Kinect, but it shows itself in a unique way and is a huge advancement in the world of gaming to be able to be recognized by your console and have completely hand-free (No Controller) gaming.

The Move seems like a pretty good idea, but it is very similar to the Wii and it seems kind of pointless and looks really weird 0_o. I think it will add a new feature to the PS3 but so will the Kinect for the 360.

Overall, my vote went for the Kinect since it is a brand new innovation for the next gen consoles and it is very unique. I'm not saying the Move has no potential, but the Wii already has taken a smart move with their motion-sensored controllers and has a much better look and movement.

I am a PS3 user but i honestly do think Move beats Kinect. For the simple reason kinect looks like a pimped EyeToy.
When they're both out ill review them both.
