B.O.D figure that out :p
(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); What is your outlook on life? I want mature and serious answers.
Think about when you get older, lose your high school buddies, maybe even your best friend or someone you love. Think it through and answer.

I've always thought about life after highschool. When i go to college, which of my friends will I ever see again? ever talk to again? will it all just end? or will I continue my life talking and seeing them? What about after college after i've made friends there? Will i just lose them forever? Or will i find them later in life? I value my friendships over everything in my life. This is something i think about almost daily. It may be wierd, but its the truth. What would you do if you and someone you think you may love go to seperate colleges? What would you do? Think about that.

This is a serious remark. Please don't spam it up with stupid answers or making fun of anyone.

Life is meaningless. It doesn't mean a thing. Religion was created to answer the unanswerable, and to provide us with hope and a sense of meaning. Most people continue to hang on to religion because they cannot cope with the idea that there is nowhere we go after we die. I have not seen any evidence at all to lead me in the direction of believing in any type of deity whatsoever.

The idea of "Us" is simply that; an idea. Our consciousness and senses are created by electrical impulses in the brain. When we die, those impulses stop, therefore the consciousness stops. Although, we derive the theory of electrical impulses creating our consciousness through our consciousness, therefore everything we think of is fundamentally flawed.

If our instincts, produced by billions of years of evolution, allow us to enjoy simple things, and latch onto meaningless ideas then why not? Enjoy your life while you have it, because in truth, its the only thing you actually have.

Hope my philosophy hasn't caused anyone's brains to explode :p.

i have to agree 100%, people are afraid of death so they make up stories and tell people that its going to be okay because thres ''god'' when you die.

One thing is forsure-your friends will change as you get older. My plans for my future are to raise my two babies the best I can, grow old with my wife and have fun every step of the way.

Life stinks-its up to you weather it smells like shit or a bed of rose's

Life is a dream and we are an imagination of ourselves, subjectively.

Those who said there is no God. Read the Bible and come back to me. You'll have a way different outlook on things. If you still can't get anything from the Bible, I'll give you a push in the right direction by giving proof.

trust me on this one, i've read it. I was raised a catholic, and attended CCD every week for 9 years. don't take it like i'm hating on your beliefs, i'm simply stating my outlook. based on everything i've collected over my life, i can honestly say i believe there is no god. i'm curious as to the proof... i like to keep an open mind.

exactly. i mean, i really fail to see why a book written by humans proves there is anything but great imagination. i mean, i know that religious people believe that the Bible was written by "divine inspiration," (the theory god told the authors what to write) but once again, how can that be taken as proof when there is no proof to support it in the first place?

also, like agentjon said, there are so many different religions out there; why are Christianity, Judaism, Islam, Hinduism, Buddhism, etc. any more correct than any other? you just believe in different things, which doesn't make either of you right to begin with.

take Greek Mythology for example: people thousands of years ago believed in Greek Mythology devoutly, just like a Christian would today. If you were to ask any random group of people on the street whether or not they thought Greek Mythology was even the slightest bit plausible, i guarantee you 100% of them say no. But why? Why is what they believe in any more real than what the Greeks believed in thousands of years ago? In a few thousand years, what are people going to think about religions today? In the future, they may sound as ridiculous to them as Greek Mythology does to you now.

Once again, I'm not trying to hate on you, or any religious people for that matter. I'm just trying to have a little friendly debate, and present evidence for my case Smile^.
