(adsbygoogle = window.adsbygoogle || []).push({}); What is your outlook on life? I want mature and serious answers.
Think about when you get older, lose your high school buddies, maybe even your best friend or someone you love. Think it through and answer.

I've always thought about life after highschool. When i go to college, which of my friends will I ever see again? ever talk to again? will it all just end? or will I continue my life talking and seeing them? What about after college after i've made friends there? Will i just lose them forever? Or will i find them later in life? I value my friendships over everything in my life. This is something i think about almost daily. It may be wierd, but its the truth. What would you do if you and someone you think you may love go to seperate colleges? What would you do? Think about that.

This is a serious remark. Please don't spam it up with stupid answers or making fun of anyone.

Another thing though yet again, it is the word of God that we will go to heaven if we accept that Jesus is our savior. If you believe in the Bible you should believe in God and Jesus and you in turn believe in heaven and hell.

heard about the 1st part, and whatever man, iam not scared about death.

1. Because "Jesus" shared similar characteristics with other religious icons in history, and Christianity is for the most part plagiaristic of the Ancient Egyptian Religion.

2. Like said in 1 and in zeitgeist. Also, remember that Judaism, Christianity, and Islam all share the exact same old testament. Noah's arc is told in the old testament, thus the overlapping stories.

3. Like I said, that can't really be taken as proof because "God" is what we're trying to prove or disprove here.

I wouldn't find religion a "hassle" either if i truly believed in it. If I thought there was even the slightest chance that we're going to go somewhere after we die, then I would probably be in church right now.

Also, I'm glad you're not taking this as me being offensive .

Jesus was an extra-terrestial.

good point. well, according to christianity, Jesus' second coming will mean the end of the world... so I guess so. But I don't know how the ancients could have known that the sun was a star, or that it will eventually explode and consume the earth...

Why would someone write that long of a story? The same reason anyone else has ever written a story. There are quite a few novels over 1000+ pages. also remember it wasn't one person who wrote the bible... or maybe it was. We just can't know for sure at this point. There are no credible witnesses, because they are all recorded in the bible. You can't use characters in a story as witnesses for that story.

The reason so many people believe in God is because they are desperate. People will do anything out of desperation. People will even eat other people if they are hungry enough. Why is believing in something that gives them a false sense of immortality such a far-fetched idea?

I'm sorry your thread turned into something you didn't intend it to be, but I'm enjoying it :p.

if you have read the bible, then you would know that the charecters in the bible are the ones who recorded the events and wrote them down. And i'm not desperate for eternal life. I BELEIVE there is eternal life and only with god will that happen. and again, all recordings of the sources they got the bible's information from were the same. all 10,000 of them. so something has had to of happen to make 10,000 people record the same events that were so meraculas and amazing.

and they know that the sun will eventually explode because all stars explode eventually. and the sun is obviously the closest star so it is obvious that something of that mass exploding would intake atleast half the solar system. plus, the gravitational pull of the sun would be destroyed and everything would be out of wack or be sucked into the black hole created by the explosion

wtf? you do realize your first sentence agreed with me, right? i've read the bible (if you read one of my previous posts), and i'm saying the characters from a story cannot be valid witnesses for that same story. it doesn't make sense.

where is your source regarding these "10,000" people? Show me where you're getting your info from.

how the hell were people 2,000 years ago supposed to know that the sun was even a star? they had no clue. also, they had never witnessed an exploding star, so how were they supposed to know that they all eventually explode? you're not making any sense at all.

no, the sun's death is going to consume for sure venus and mercury. It's unclear yet whether or not it will consume the earth as well. Also, the sun is not nearly massive enough to create a black hole when it dies, only the largest stars do this.

ok, lets just stop the fighting. obviously everyone here disagrees so just stop posting in the thread i guess. i try to just post something to let people show us a little about them and what they think and it turns into a fight. so do what ever. close it, ignore it. just do what ever the hell you want with it. because all this is is causing an arguement over religion which neither of us can explain because we don't know enough about it. you just use logical thinking which, at times, doesn't change any facts and i say stuff that i believe which you just say are wrong and say that it doesn't make sense. so just do what ever the hell you want with the thread.

It wasn't my intention, but if thats the way it made you feel then i apologize.

i know you aren't trying to offend me but i just don't feel right fighting about god and all this religion stuff when i am the only one who believes it. i mean, how can you be a christian without believing in god? if you got saved just to go to heaven, then your stupid and unfaithful. especially if you don't even believe in the person that you gave your heart to. thats like giving your heart to a complete stranger. i'm not saying you are but anyone who goes to church regularly and reads the bible and has been saved and doesn't believe in god? thats just wrong.
