A 17 year old hacker from Manchester, United Kingdom has been arrested for a hack putting Black Ops "Out of Commission". The hack was named "Denial of Service" and left many pc users unable to play the game.
Supposedly a malicious program called "Phenom Booter" was behind this. This was being put up for sale on some forums and it would allow you to score more points on COD and stop others from playing.
Activision was quick to act as they tracked his I.P. address and contacted police to have the kid arrested. He is in custody at the moment and awaiting further assessment. My thoughts when I read this was, "Was that worth it getting arrested for something as dumb as this" I mean come on, you just got yourself in a heap of trouble for a pointless hack that just makes the game unplayable for others. I can understand prestige glitching and etc. But this is taking it a little too far in my opinion. What do you guys think? Should people draw a line on hacking COD?

What an idiot, if you take down BO with your own IP you're going to get caught and I suppose it was worth getting arrested for but maby not if he gets sent down or fined.

Yeah buy keep in mind this wasn't your average XP or CL hack, this was actually making the game unplayable for others.
benefiting yourself through hacking is okay i suppose if that is what you wish to do, everyone is different, but once it comes into contact with affecting/ending gameplay for other people then it should just be stopped completely, they have acted well on this in my opinion. If it was just scoring more points that would have been fine as it wouldnt really have bothered anyone else, leaderboards don't mean nothing since things like this anyways.

I doubt he got arrested for the 'Hacking' of the game but for taking it down.
