I have heard stories about people trying to steal cars, breaking into police stations and attempted robbery, but this one incident i heard about blew me away...

This man by the name of Michael McWhertor who is living in Philadelphia got upset one day because his mom took away his PlayStation 3. He got so enraged that he had (Stated In Court Hearing) planned to have some sort of a clawed hammer and slash him mother in the kitchen, and then stated that he had planned to finish her off with a kitchen chair leg. He reported her missing the next day, but then on his confession he added he would certainly not do it again.

Do it again? Is he kidding me. Look what a little online violence and a thirst for an obsession will do to someone. A young man, killed his mother, not a friend, not a criminal but his mother. The kind of things a game would have to do to you for you to feel that killing your mother will make you feel better or help you De-stress. and then to start breaking out in tears the next day because you wouldn't do it AGAIN! I think he deserves to go to jail. To kill your mother over a taken away PlayStation is not only criminal but disturbing. Please read the link if you want to read the report.

I feel sick after reading this.

I just saw the report there and it said that he got a Butcher Knife and stabbed her in her sleep but she wasnt dead so he dragged her down the stairs and tryed to cremate her in the oven that didnt work so he smashed her head of a table or something...

He's not saying he shouldn't be punished. He's saying people shouldn't only blame it on the console for the reason he did such a thing.

NO you got it wrong at the end he beat her to death with a chair leg , he didnt smash her head against a table. SOunds worse now :O

It can't be all blamed on video games, the ps3 is just an addiction and that's probably why he was mad. He could have only played little big planet for all we know, but he was addicted to it so he raged when his mom took it away.
Just like when you take crack away from a crack fiend.
