Lebron James - The Mistake

Lebron, Lebron, Lebron. Was it worth it? You were on the track to winning a ring with Cleveland. After this year, Boston is splitting up, and had you stayed with Cleveland I felt your chances of winning would be higher than ever. How much regret do you think he has. I know the regular season isn't over yet but for crying out loud! At the beginning of the year when the Heat were bad all the analysts said, "Oh don't worry give them time." Even Lebron said they are going to get better at the beginning of the year. How much time to they need? Playoffs are coming and teams like Boston, San Antonio, and LA are looking more ready than ever. Meanwhile the Heat can't actually beat a good team, nor can perform in the clutch. Unless some divine intervention happens, I don't see the Heat contending at all. Another question that pops into my mind is, how close is Spoelstra from getting fired? I have a gut feeling Pat Riley will step in soon, because it's now or never!

tl;dr: The Miami Heat have a 0% chance of winning the title this year, and Lebron should have stayed in Cleveland.

Yes but remember it is the all-star game Winky Winky no one really gives a damn. Being a leader is more than that. Leaders make the players around them better, bring a spark of fire, support everyone, and don't give up.

As for the Wade thing, no one really thinks about that. Trust me, when your on the court the only thing going through your mind is WIN.

With all this aside I'm not against Lebron, I just don't think he's a leader.

Don't worry bro. We'll see what happens in the play-off's Winky Winky

If the heat at on a winning streak its all Lebron, if there on a losing streak its all Lebron (according to ESPN). It's not like he asks for that it's just what they report.

And if Lebron isn't a team player or a leader who is in the NBA? He definetly spreads the ball and trys to get his team going. They have three superstars on that team it shouldn't be up to him to lead that team by himself. I'm sure the heat know that and don't excpect him too, they expect Wade to go out and take the lead some nights, and Lebron others.

In my opinion Bosh isn't an All star. I honestly think he made it only because of the whole "big 3" thing going on.

While I agree with what you are saying throughout this thread. You can't seriously think LeBron doesn't ask for this kind of attention. He self-labeled himself "The King" for christ sakes. Anyone that does that clearly thinks too highly of himself He brought all this attention upon himself. He won't say it, but he loves the fact he is the talk of the sports world. That's just who he is. He needs his ego fed, and that's what the media does.

Of course he loves he, and of course he will give himselve a title to "get his ego up" or to "sell merchandise", but who wouldn't. And what Profensional sports star doesn't? If everybody in your community was constently talking about you (for good reasons) you'd love it too, expescially if you didn't give them specific reason too. The thing is, everbody hypes it up more for Lebron because they love him, they hate him, or they just don't know what to think about him.

OH and a point yet to be made is.. HE IS A CLEAN PLAYER SO FAR. What i mean by that is he isn't a criminal, he hasn't cheated on anybody, he keeps it in his pants (or at least doesn't get caught). He doesn't fight dogs (sorry Vick ). He hasn't raped anyone (**** you Kobe/Rothlesburger) Both of which get praised daily ever though they've caused harm to a human. He hasn't had any big charges against him, which is somthing most sports players cant say.

That's not the point. Maybe I took your post wrong, but the way I took it was LeBron is the victim here because he can't do anything without the media talking about it.

I never seen a star athlete hold an hour special to announce the team he was going to sign on with. Other then LeBron I never heard of a star athlete giving himself his own nickname.

The fact is he brought the spotlight on to himself and now he has to live with it. And while I agree with everything you said about him not being a criminal and how these guys get away with it. The reason why these other guys get praised is because they've actually won.

Im 50/50 on this. The Heat CLEARLY have the talent/players to win a championship especially when compared to Cleveland, but I don't know wtf is wrong with them. If they get their act together they could be unstoppable though.

ClutchLikeMelo I'm very happy you created this thread. This thread gives people in my opinion the true idea of what Lebron James did. Which is his biggest mistake of his life. I remember when he first came into the league he changed the entire cleveland team into a winning dynasty. The man could of won the ring if he stood patience. if i remember correctly you stated boston celtics are spilting apart and your right about that but also there getting much older. Lebron James could of done what Michael Jordan did. Stood with one franchise with a good supporting cast and gave Cleveland it first champion. by joining mami he threw himself out of discussion for comparison of Michael Jordan and Kobe Bryant. Lebron James had so many potiental to have his legacy written to be GOAT. But by forming an alliances with his buddies Wade and Bosh he tarnish that legacy. Yes he says he going for the ring, but people will question him could he have won it without Wade and Bosh? i hardly doubt it. They way the trio predicted how many rings there going to win was ridcoulous. A lot people get on me because they say "oh kobe can't win it without shaq" but people tend to forget when shaq came to the Lakers, who they had? Young Derek Fisher (which he distrube the ball damn well at young age) then you had Robert Horry (a clutch 3 pointer in the post-season) and Rick Fox (a good average player.) Then you have the best coach of all time who coached one of the greatest player of all time which is Michael Jordan. What I believe is what people failed realized is you need a 1 & 2 punch combo and helluva coach who knows how to utilize his team with good supporting cast to win a championship team. The coach they have is very young with a lot of potiental but he seem be having a lot problems having his hothead espeically Lebron James under control. You know how many times Lebron James missed a clutch shot espeically a blocked from Amare Stoudmire. Lebron forgets he is not clutch shooter he is a clutch dunker. He not in level to be consider a clutch player such as Kobe Bryant, Dwayne Wade, Carmelo Anthony, and Chauncey Billups etc. In my personal opinion Lebron gets too much attention handed to him when he doesn't deserve it. He couldn't handle the pressure to win championship in Cleveland so he went to his buddy to "try" to "win" a championship. The guy is pathetic. I'm very disappointed in Lebron James. I'm glad you made this thread ClutchLikeMelo. I thought this was a very good thread
