Here is the fallout pattern from Chernobly accident
It was a full blow out of the containment facility and much more serious than the Japense situation,
It is extremely unlikely that the picture you have posted is a reality.

You never know, the winds push from Japan to Alaska, and the west coast. There is NOTHING to block, or slow the radiation. But, I agree, it looks way too far. :p
