The NFL is a great sport but surely rugby players are harder (maybe thicker) for not wearing pads but we will see what people think...

Football or soccer as the americans call it is a national pastime but again a minority sport for americans who just dont seem to be able to grasp the fervour or the basic rules!! Not flaming honestly us english dont do too well in world cup either (we live on our 1 victory in 1966)

Athletics you americans are great at no-one can touch you I have to give you that!!! Although us brits seem to do well (good enough for us anyway) in the longer races (mile marathon etc.)

Basketball over here is hardly played except in our high schools and then its not very competitive!!

So this is just a quick poll to see what the results are....

Please dont flame i'm doing this out of curiosity.

I watch mainly football (not american) and hockey, so english sports ( I don't watch NHL, I watch "SM-Liiga", finnish league)

I prefer football (England) because it's simpler to just have a kick about with friends as opposed to setting up an american football game with teams and all starts and stops...

I am from england so in one point i agree but i dont see a problem with the americans also not doing that? Come on we have to start/stop for corners throw ins etc. when we start we spend ages picking teams!! the only thing i can see different between the two is that american football needs both an offense and a defence 2 teams!!! but surely playing in the street is still the same just pick 2 teams and try to score???

If you wana see tons of black people, watch some boring american sport! (NBA,NFL...)

English sport is better, and english beer is epic awsome!

obviously there are more guys from UK here anyone from US would agree that NFL is better you should make a pole about people being in US or UK instead

i agree what i should have done was add 2 more options... are you american or other? As this seems to have gone against what it was supposed to be about!!! Although so far it shows me that Americans seem to think their sports are good but cant be bothered to show support for them!!

NFL: Big body plates, knee protectors, helmets, game stopped every 10 seconds because fouls.
Rugby: Muscular men, shirts, shorts, game not stopped hardly, if your injured you wrap a bandage around your head (or whatever is injured) and get back on.
