Well at the moment I’m with the worst provider in the United Kingdom… Virgin Media. I have there 50MBPs and it’s awful, I rarely get above 1MBPs upload (they advertise 10MBps Upload).
So yeah I’m switching providers and I am looking for some of your reports on the internet you have.

5/10 for Tiscali (TalkTalk) i remember about 5 years ago they had a broadband package and their speeds were the tits, however since then, the speeds have gotten lower and lower which has had a bad effect as technology is getting better and better thus requiring a higher upload speed. I wish i live in Tokyo or somewhere like that where the internet speeds are like 250mb/s without fail. (Unlike virgin media who say 100mb/s is what customers will get yet my freinds get max 5mb/s :L)

Virgin Media have 100mb download speeds in UK, and I know loads of people with 30mb+ per second and I don't live in a posh area...

Virgin Media have 100mb download speeds in UK, and I know loads of people with 30mb+ per second and I don't live in a posh area...
I live in a place called Swadlincote, my nearest server is a considerable distance away so i end up with shitty speeds. virgin apparently give the best speeds but i wasn't aware that you could get 100MBs anywhere in the UK (not even in london) i want the swedish speeds of 150MBs. that'd be awesome.

fibre optic for TalkTalk isn't out for a while yet is it? when it does come out, i'll be upgrading because i should get it cheaper because we have been loyal customers for 5 years haha. p.s don't get virgin media fiber optic, it's apparantley 'trial' technology, meaning it's not worth the money and better ones will be out in the following years.

Apparently they are rolling it out alongside BT affinity or something, however i'm not 100% on that, hopefully i can get it in my area as i really need fasters speeds than 0.6MB upload

Yea my upload speed is pretty pathetic, on average i only get 1.86mb/s, which is dreadfully slow, i couldn't live with a connection 3x slower than that :O
