Well at the moment I’m with the worst provider in the United Kingdom… Virgin Media. I have there 50MBPs and it’s awful, I rarely get above 1MBPs upload (they advertise 10MBps Upload).

So yeah I’m switching providers and I am looking for some of your reports on the internet you have.

the Hostname part is where the exchange is, so for me mine is Croydon and the hostname is croy.virginmedia.co.uk. I'm about 2 miles from my exchange. :y:

Optimum/Cablevision 1.5/5. I get 500k per second, and they busted me for downloading a song off Pirate Bay. Absolutly ridiculous.

Im with some weird ass shit... The speed is amazing , the only program is like every hour i have to reset it because it disconnects so prob...3/5

I'm with TalkTalk in the UK (also own Tiscali) i get a mere 2MB download and 0.3 upload for about £15 a month some mate of my parents came over and put some new cabling in and did some shit (as he works for BT) and now we get 5MB down and like 0.6 upload but overall i'd rate TalkTalk 3.5/10 they aren't the worst, but aren't exactly good either, The UK hasn't seemed to grasp the "high speed internet" at all and for saying we're a "super power" country we sure as hell don't spend money on making our internets better. i mean i believe we are one of the slowest places in the WORLD for internet connection speeds. For those of you who live in Japan, Sweden (or scandanavia in general) or the USA, you have the highest speeds thus far. the UK trailing near the bottom of the board being able to get 40MB downloads only in really posh area's (like london). i unfortunatly live in a small town in the middle of the UK near Manchester/Birmingham, so i'm going to be one of the last people to get fibre optic (if at all) yet our neighbouring city Derby has it allready (my girlfriend keeps winding me up with the fact shes getting 40MB and i'm getting 1/8 of her speed)

Virgin Media 10/10, they're only shit when you get their shitty standard box, you want the Super Hub Then you get the full quality from Virgin.
I'd say the worst to go with is BT or Sky, when we were with Sky the highest they would go for us was 9mb a second, BT phoned us and asked our download speed, we said 9mb/second they said, oh no we can't be that, the highest we go it 4.5mb/second.

Virgin Media have 100mb download speeds in UK, and I know loads of people with 30mb+ per second and I don't live in a posh area...
